Hints and Tips: Procurement
• Procurement Route?– DH are dead set against Competitive Dialogue and recommend
Open or Restricted– Also use Frameworks where possible but watch out for:
• Contract lengths• Possibility of extensions• Other suppliers not on the framework or on it through a partner
• Challenges are more common nowadays• Evaluation criteria?
– Watch out for the cost % if you don’t want cost to be the overriding factor
– Having a scoring mechanism which can reward for exceeding the requirement – otherwise can be very little difference
