Come and let's explore the fine art of creating a Mandala, which is a fancy name for doodling messages, from your own subconscious using the medium of color. You don't need to be an artist.     Strip Quilting With A TwistLearn how to use quilting tools, understand the vocabulary of quilting, rotary cutting, sewing accurate seams, pressing, and more to help you start your first project or refresh your memory.     Bead EmbroideryBead embroidery is different than any other beading technique; instead of stitching or stringing beads together, you stitch beads to cloth or stiff felt.     Understanding Digital Photography ConceptsPhotography sounds simple and fun, especially with a point and shoot digital camera. So, why don't all of our pictures taken with a digital camera look beautiful? Learn to go beyond the auto setting on your camera and look to use additional features, such as shutter speed, aperture, ISO, white balance and scene mode, to make the best pictures possible. This class will teach you what the meaning of the additional features are and how to know when to use additional settings to improve the photographs you take. This class applies whether your camera is a point and shoot or a DSLR.     Making Heartfelt Photographs That WowJoin professional art photographer Joanne West for this photography workshop. Using examples of her own experiences and images that hit the heart, she will share tips for tuning in to your own unique vision. You will learn how to respond to different types of lighting, which lenses to use for specific perspectives and photo composition techniques for pictures with more powerful impact. After each classroom session and portfolio review of your photos, the group will practice learning to see and photograph from the heart. Bring your camera gear to every class. Bring three photos of your best work or three digital photos on a thumb drive to the first class. She taught interior design classes at MCC for over 10 years. Cheryl traveled to many countries, ex-periencing various cultures, architecture, furni-ture design and styles that enabled her to share this knowledge with her students.Bye-Beza, Neola; having spent her career in legal and risk services for acute healthcare facili es, Neola found herself working with fi bers and beads as an outlet for her crea ve side. Over the years, she studied with many master ar sts at such shows as Art and Soul. She began corresponding with rock and gem lovers over several southwestern states and fell head over heels in love with jasper, agates, and other natural and organic geological speci-mens. Now she works mostly with these rocks cut in diff erent shapes and sizes, beading them onto leather or suede, following pa erns and designs that she graphs. Her inspira ons come from na ve beading books and museum pieces and her crea vity comes from her love of the rhythm and solitude beading provides for her.Coff man, Craig, is an experienced piano in-structor, professional pianist and music direc-tor. He has over 20 years experience teaching piano privately. His piano seminars, off ered through Community Colleges and Community Educa on Programs, have been a ended by over 12,000 students throughout the United States over the last 11 years. He has a degree in Sociology from Illinois Wesleyan University in Illinois (where he also studied piano) and a Master of Divinity degree from Western Semi-nary in Portland, Oregon.

    Cur s, Kris na; holds a Bachelor of Science De-gree in Marke ng from Arizona State University and from Barre Honors College. She worked as a data analyst and assistant account man-ager at General Mills Inc. where she gained extensive knowledge of Microso programs, including Excel and PowerPoint. She has also worked as a costume designer and seamstress at Old Tucson Studios, a seamstress in the ASU theatre department, and currently owns and sews for her own online home décor business, SunnyRae Home. She loves to learn and help people improve their own lives through learn-ing. Degler, Roger; started in photography over 40 years ago, back in the “fi lm era”. Only recently, he switched to digital, and he fi nds that this new world of photography makes learning much easier and quicker. He classifi es himself as an Advanced Amateur. His specialty is beau- ful Arizona Sunsets and Landscapes. Roger

    has won many awards and has been the Fea-tured Ar st at the Dreams and Legends Gallery in Apache Junc on, and at the Boyce Thomp-son Arboretum.
