    A Surface-conduction Electron-emitter Display

    (SED) is a flat panel display technology that uses

    Surface Conduction Electron emitters (SCEs) for

    every individual display pixel.

    The surface conduction electron emitter electrons

    that excite a phosphor coating on the display panel

    to display images.
