1. General Objectives:• Research and monitoring of different institutions and actors working in
the area of migration policies;• Development of multi stakeholders trans national co operation and• Development of multi-stakeholders trans-national co-operation and
networking between research centers, institutions, public authorities and representatives of the civil society, NGOs, including immigrant associations, operating in the area of migration policies;
• Exchange and transfer of information, lessons learned and good practices concerning the integration of immigrants; identification and development of a set of communications informing all partners involved about common European integration policies;about common European integration policies;
• Development of consultation mechanisms between institutional and civil actors at both the local and regional level;

2. Specific Objectives :
• Knowledge of the different type of governance integration policies in different European Regions;
• Mapping of the regional immigrant associations landscape in those countries involved in the project;countries involved in the project;

RESULTS:
Study Report: the Analysis and Collection of good practices are making in the main sectors of:p g
– Housing: is a fundamental component of citizenship as it is also witnessed by immigration laws in some major EU Member States.
– Education: the level of education is of crucial importance for immigrants not j st to find a position in the labo r market b t also as an importantnot just to find a position in the labour market, but also as an important moment of socialization with the hosting culture and practices.
– Employment : is a crucial and complex problem in immigration, that spans from the over-representation of immigrants at lower skills jobs, p p g j ,where the level of local labour force supply is scarce, to work discrimination.
– Sanitary field: practices as regards the dissemination of knowledge of the basic types of sanitary assistance provided by the regionalthe basic types of sanitary assistance provided by the regional government.
– Social participation and security: volunteering is a form of social participation in which immigrants play an important role as active iti i ti th i l i f l th t b l t th icitizens in supporting the inclusion of people that belong to their same
community.
