Brief Introduction: PEI Centrey PEI Centre is an international education centre located in Lagos with the objectives of bringing

globally recognised qualifications to your door step.

y PEI Centre was incorporated at the CAC Abuja on the 28th of May 2007 and began its operations onthe 30th of September 2008.

Directors: include seasoned educationist such as Prof. Fidelia Obasi (Education Mgt. & Planning); DrTracey Ugo (Financial Economics at Brunel University, UK);

y Key Management staff: Barbara Ukpabi (LLM Hull & MSc Bournemouth UK); Niyi Akinremi (BSc,MBA & ACA).

y PEI Centre operations are currently divided into 4 arms:

y Study globally recognised UK degrees and professional qualifications in Nigeria via a mixture ofthe online and traditional teaching and revision class medium (distance learning).

Study abroad (UK) which entails the recruitment of Nigerian students for studies in over 50partner institutions in the UK at undergraduate and post-graduate levels.

y The Accelerated International University Entrance Programme (AIUEP) in Nigeria direct to 2nd

year in over 25 UK Universities and over 100 courses in the areas of Business and Technology.

y International Exchange Programme (IEP): This involves liaising with individuals, groups,academic institutions at secondary and tertiary levels , training organisations etc and arrangingexchange programmes on study exchange or work experience platforms with our partnerinstitutions in India and the UK.

Brief Introduction: AIUEPy AIUEP is called theAccelerated International University

Entrance Program in full.

y AIUEP is a product ofThe Knowledge Project UK, an

international educational services firm based in the UK and havebeen running accelerated programmes.

y This is a 12 months intensively taught and fast track programme.

y It is a direct entry programme which accelerates into second yearin over 25 UK universities and over 100 courses in business and

technology.y It is designed for international students who have not done the

A levels, IGCSEs, UFPs which is currently accepted forundergraduate studies by universities in the UK.

Reasons for the AIUEPy It is confirmed that International Students possess

comparable qualifications and same academic abilities ascontemporaries in the UK.

y Though they possess comparable qualifications and sameacademic abilities are made to undergo additionalacademic justifications such as the 2years A level or a 1yearIGCSE or UFP before they are considered for 1styear

admissions in the UK.y A need to provide foreign qualified students with

Aims of the AIUEPy Our program aims to provide "foreign qualified students with

superior academic abilities, the opportunity to circumvent theserestrictions.

The accelerated nature of our programs mean that they can studyfor all the prerequisite foundation and first (1st) year modulestypically studied in UK Universities.

y They sit for and excel at the relevant examinations in a shorteramount of time than required by current alternative options.

y The students get the chance to show their superior academic

abilities by proving :y That they can handle a compressed curriculum load, studied

intensively over a 12 period.y That they can obtain above average grades in those examinations.y That they can achieve the required level of academic English

Execution of taught modulesy The Programmes are divided into:

y Business module

y Technology module

y General free intensive IELTS examinations (now compulsory for international students intending

to study in the UK).y The program will be delivered in country, and at the PEI Centre office.

y Program shall be taught by UK University Level Lecturers, with relevant subject qualification andexperience, ensuring that students are taught in the same style as their counterparts in the UK.Students also benefit immensely from informal interaction with the lecturers.

y British model of study which de-emphasizes learning by cramming and encourages the developmentof independent thought processes and conceptualization, continuous assessments and feedback and

targeted preparation for tests and examinations.y The provision of an enabling learning environment necessary for effective study.

y Excellent career counseling to help channel students to undergraduate programs that best suit theiracademic strengths and unique interests.

y Intensive IELTS test preparation to help students achieve the required level of academic English scorefor undergraduate studies at UK universities as well as for student visa purposes.

Examinationsy Examinations are taken Bi-annually in Nigeria.y The examinations are scheduled by AIUEP at the British council

or any other venue which shall be told the students closer to the

examination period.After Examination, what next?y Results for the examinations are released very soon afterwards.y On successful completion of the program by obtaining at least

pass grades inALL modules offered as well as the required IELTSscore in academic English, students gain admission directly into

the second year of over 100 undergraduate degree programs inover 25 universities in the United Kingdom.y PEI Centre has an excellent career placement services and will

work with the students to make sure they are successfully placedin the universities of their choice.

Making an applicationy Upon collection of the application form, fill the application

form and submit with the following:y A copy of WAEC results

y

2 reference letters (1 academic and 1 character)y Copy of deposit slip for the N5000 non-refundable processing

fee. Payment to be made into the following account details:

y On provision of the forgoing, an application shall be said tohave been completed.

Enrolment on ProgrammeyAfter submission of an application form, please give 5-

7 working days for information to be processed for an

acceptance on the programme.yWhere successful, applicant shall be contacted and

informed appropriately on their success.

y They shall be required to visit PEI Centre office for

enrolment. Enrolment shall include payment oftuition fee prior to start on the programme.

y Programme starts are in June, September and January(for the 18 months semi-intensive programme).
