Issued to be addressed through advocacy include becoming independent, stigma both internal and external, peer education and peer recovery coaches, service users forum

SERDATF agreed to support the development of peer recovery community networks.

SERDATF support worker to meet with service providers to get information on service users care plans and how to standardise them.

Annual report was agreed

SERDATF members agreed to forward on 2016 annual report to the drugs programme and policy unit (DPU). In response to a query relating to the reporting mechanism for SERDATF actions within LECPs to the various County LCDCs, AL undertook to ascertain the process and schedule for the Wexford LECP

Self-Management and recovery training SMART roll out through the SERDATF region.

Feedback from people of their experience needed for September discussion;

SMART group up and running in Enniscorthy and possible second one to start soon.

Dental services There is a free dental service available for persons on methadone therapy programme

Website has lists of dental practices in each town that offer this service.

AOB- Housing Homelessness is a huge issue and block for client’s recovery.

Request a representative from housing services to address this issue at the September meeting.
