DOWNLOADING COURSES/COURSE UPDATES 20.

Your GPS Golf Band is preloaded with over 35,000 courses in North America, Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Puerto Rico, and the United Arab Emirates. Occasionally, it may be necessary to download courses or course updates (i.e. if your local course has been renovated or recently mapped by iGolf, or you are traveling to a location that is not preloaded).

If you come across a course that is not currently mapped by iGolf, or has been recently renovated and needs to be remapped, you can request new mapping or updated mapping by emailing [email protected]

Mapping requests are generally available within 1 – 2 weeks of receipt. For best results it is recommended that a current scorecard is submitted with requests for mapping.

To download a course or course update:

1. Login to your account at precisionpro.igolf.com

2. Select the “SEARCH COURSES” button

3. When prompted that the website would like to use your current location, make a selection accordingly.

Note: Allowing the website you use your location will automatically populate a list of courses in your immediate vicinity and show them on the map. For expedience, it is recommended to allow location access.

If you do not wish to allow location access, or if you wish to download a course outside of your area, please use the ADVANCED SEARCH OPTION located in the upper righthand corner above the map. Alternately, you may search for a course by name using the search bar.

4. Select the course you want to download either by clicking on the course name in the COURSE LISE or by clicking the corresponding number on the map.

DOWNLOADING COURSES/COURSE UPDATES (CONTINUED) 21.

5. If you have not already done so, connect your device. The righthand side of the box will show whether your device is connected or not. If it is showing no connection, double-check your connection from the clip to the device and from the cable to the computer.

6. When the site shows that the device is connected, select the “Download GPS Course File” button.

7. When you see the “Sync Complete” message, the course or course update has been successfully installed on your device and is ready for use.

TROUBLESHOOT ING & FAQs 23.

1. What happens if my golf course layout changes?

Courses may renovate from time to time. When this occurs, please submit a mapping update request to [email protected]. To expedite the process, please submit a current scorecard with mapping update requests. 2. What happens if my golf course is not on the list of available courses?

With over 35,000 courses preloaded, this is a rare occurence; however, if you do know of a course that is not mapped, please submit a new mapping request to [email protected]. To expedite the process, please submit a current scorecard with new mapping requests. 3. My GPS Golf Band seems to give incorrect distances?

The most common cause of inaccurate distances is when a mapping discrepancy exists, likley due to a course making renovations. Please submit a mapping update request per the answer to question 1. 4. How does the tee time feature work?

The Tee Time feature allows you to set a tee time up to 1-week in advance. 10 minutes prior to the set tee time, the GPS Golf Band will prompt you to go to your starting tee box. 7-minutes prior to the set tee time, the device will automatically enter Golf Mode and populate satellites, ready for play by the time you are teeing off. 5. How do I see distances to hazards?

The middle button cycles through all Golf Mode features. Hazards (up to 4 per hole, or 2 screens) appear in queue after the FCB (Front, Center, Back of Green) screen. 6. What do the hazard codes mean?

Hazards are defined by a 3 or 4 letter abbreviation. For a complete list of hazard definitions,

TROUBLESHOOT ING & FAQs 24.

please see page 8.

7. I started in the middle of the golf course. How do I get to the correct hole?

Although the GPS Golf Band will auto-advance sequentially through the course, it will not auto-advance out of order. When playing a shotgun start it is necessary to manually advance to your starting hole first. To do so, when viewing either the Center Distance screen or FCB screen, press either the top button (next hole) or bottom button (previous hole) until the device is displaying the correct hole. After this, the device will auto-advance as you play throught the course.

8. My club has two courses. How do I select which one I am playing?

When there is more than 1 course at a location, they are named with subnames. The subname may appear before or after the primary course name, depending upon how the course is named within the iGolf database. Course names are too long to fit on screen, so the name of the course will ticker-tape. When viewing the Course Results screen, use the bottom button to cycle through the courses. Use the center button to select the correct one accordingly.

9. Will the GPS Golf Band work for my 27-hole course?

Yes, in all likelihood the 27-hole course will be mapped either as 3 seperate 9-hole courses, or one 18-hole course and one 9-hole course. 10. What countries does the 35,000 preloaded courses cover?

The GPS Golf Band is preloaded with courses throughout North America, Western Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Puerto Rico, and the United Arab Emirates.

11. Is there a list of courses that are preloaded?

You may search for courses that are mapped by iGolf at http://precisionpro.igolf.com. If a course is showing as GPS Enabled, it is mapped by iGolf and in all likelihood preloaded as long as it is located within one of the countries listed in question 11.

TROUBLESHOOT ING & FAQs 25.

12. How do I use the GPS Band when I get to the course?

To get started, simply press the center button twice (first press will enter menu, second press will activate Golf mode). Please see pages 5 – 8 for information regarding Golf Mode functionality.

13. Is the GPS Golf Band legal for tournament play?

Yes, the GPS Golf Band is compliant with USGA and R&A rules that allow for the use of distance measuring devices as regulated by local tournament rules. 14. How does the shot distance measurement feature work?

The Shot Distance feature measures the distance between 2 points in a straight line. For more information regarding Shot Distance, please see page 7.

15. Can I use the GPS distance measurement feature off the golf course?

You may either use the Odometer feature to measure distance in miles/kilometers, or you may use the Shot Distance feature in Golf Mode to measure distance in yards/meters. Please note that if you are using the Shot Distance feature, the maximum distance that will be shown is 999 yards/meters.

16. My GPS Golf Band thinks I moved on to the next hole, but I haven’t yet. How do I go back to the previous hole?

In rare instances (due to course layout), the GPS Golf Band may automatically advance to the next hole. If this happens, simply press the bottom button while on the Center Distance screen or FCB screen to manually return to the current hole.

17. How do I change my GPS Golf Band from Yards to Meters?

Press the center button to enter the menu, then use the bottom button to cycle to the Yds/M

option. Press the center button to select the Yds/M option. There are 4 possible settings (Golf Unit of Measurement is listed 1st, Odometer Unit of Measurement is listed 2nd): YDS/MI, YDS/KM, M/KM, M/MI. For an illustration of this, please see page 13.

18. How do I know if the GPS is active in my GPS Golf Band?

When you activate any GPS mode (Golf, Odometer, Set Time), the screen will display a “Satellite Searching” animation. This indicates that the GPS module has been activated. Upon GPS lock, the Golf Mode application will yield course results, the Odometer will display a screen of button functions, and Set Time will update the time and prompt for confirmation.

19. How do I turn GPS off on my GPS Golf Band?

Simply exit the application and the GPS module will power off automatically. Also, Golf Mode has an Auto-Off feature in place that will prompt the user that power off will occur after 6 hours of play. You can either accept the Auto-Off or resume golfing. If no response occurs after 15 minutes, the device will power the GPS module off and return to time mode.

20. What should I do if my GPS Golf Band isn’t picking up GPS signal?

Make sure you are outdoors in an open area with a clear view of the horizon when attempting to obtain GPS signal. If GPS lock does not occur within a few minutes, you may perform a hardware reset by pressing all 3 buttons simultaneously, then try again.

21. I’m stuck on a screen and don’t know how go back?

There is only one place within the UI where this may occur, and that is on the Set Time options screen where there are 3 options for the 3 buttons (DST, Set Time, Time Format). To exit this screen without making any changes, select “Set Time,” then press the top button on the next screen. This will exit to the menu. Please see page 12 for an illustration of this.

22. My GPS Golf Band seems frozen. Is there a way to reset my GPS Golf Band?

TROUBLESHOOT ING & FAQs (CONT INUED) 26.

You may perform a hardware reset by pressing all 3 buttons simultaneously. Please note that doing so will reset the time & date to 12:00 AM Jan 1st, 2016. This will also reset the battery indicator, so it is necessary to charge your device after performing a hardware reset. If problems persist, please contact Precision Pro customer support (email [email protected] or phone 888-568-6770).

23. How do I set/change the time on my GPS Golf Band?

GPS acquisition in any GPS mode (Golf, Odometer, Set Time) will update the time & date automatically. Please see pages 10 – 12 for detailed instructions regarding setting the time via the Set Time menu option.

24. How does the Odometer feature work?

The Odometer is a basic fitness feature that tracks total distance, total activity time, and provides current speed. For detailed information regarding the Odometer, please see page 9.

25. I lost my instruction manual, where can I get a new one?

The Quick Start Guide (QSG) that comes inside the packaging provides a very basic overview of the GPS Golf Band Functionality. This Full User Manual covers everything covered by the QSG (and more) in much more detail. If you still want another copy of the QSG, you may download it from http://precisionprogolf.com
