2.1077 – Compliance Information
(a) If a product must be tested and authorized under Supplier's Declaration of Conformity, a compliance information
statement shall be supplied with the product at the time of marketing or importation, containing the following information:
(1) Identification of the product, e.g., name and model number;
(2) A compliance statement as applicable, e.g., for devices subject to part 15 of this chapter as specified in §15.19(a)(3)
of this chapter, that the product complies with the rules; and
(3) The identification, by name, address and telephone number or Internet contact information, of the responsible party,
as defined in §2.909. The responsible party for Supplier's Declaration of Conformity must be located within the United
States.

• The technical standard is being
changed to ANSI/TIA-4965-2012 and
uses conversational gain versus

• FCC - Hearing Aid Compatibility
• Equipment manufactured or imported prior to Feb 28,
2020 can comply via old rules or new rules
• Equipment manufactured or imported after Feb 28,
2020 shall meet the new rules
• VoIP phones will require mandatory approval (TCB or
SDOC) after Feb 28, 2020. (Identical to Canada)
• Basically any products will need to be retested for
continuing production after Feb 28, 2020

• ISED - Decision on New Requirements for
Wireless Device Testing Laboratories (SMSE-
005-18, March 2018)
• ISED are implementing mandatory accreditation and recognition
for wireless device testing laboratories
• From March 15, 2019, all laboratories must be recognized by
ISED for the scope of the product being tested
• Laboratories are to be in an FTA/MRA country OR;
• Can be in a non-MRA country provided the Accreditation Body is
also recognized by ISED.
• No grace period for testing performed prior to March 15, 2019
• No accreditation requirement for ICES-xxx standards

Canada – NRCAN
• Amendment 14 to the Energy Efficiency
Regulation was pre-published March 31, 2018
• Battery Charger Systems are proposed to be
included
• MEPS defined in table C.1 of CSA C381.2-17
• Test method is as per CSA C381.2-17 or
Appendix Y to Subpart B, Part 430 of Title 10
CFR
• Will require 3rd party verification and marking by
SCC accredited certification Body
• If amendment gets published it will take effect so
that products manufactured after June 13, 2019
shall comply. Note, US DOE requirements
mandate from June 13, 2018.

• External Power Supplies
• NOM-029-ENER-2017 took effect 25 April
2018
• Formally published MEPS for EPS which
requires either Level V or Level VI compliance
• Applies to - Fixed voltage AC/DC power supplies – with maximum
output of 250W - Variable voltage AC/DC power supplies - those with a
switch that allows the user to manually select between different output voltage levels.

expected until late this year at the
earliest
• Brings the existing directive in line with ISO
17065 and ISO 17025 principles
• Surveillance procedures strengthened but more

due to ISO 17065 principles.

• Both expected to published in the Official Gazette
in July/August timeframe
• Would have 180 day implementation
• Existing certifications will need to be upgraded on
expiry
Updated technical requirements in line with IEC as adopted
as a Mexico national standard (NMX) e.g NMX-I-60950-1-
NYCE-2015
