Helping us continue to be the most advanced in Australia is our commitment to training. These past few years we have completed international training in Concrete Repair, Injection and Protection. The courses attended were in Singapore & Germany & are run by the German training institute BZB Akadamie (www.bzb.de/english). Currently over 75% of our technicians have trained overseas and 100% regularly attend our in-house training.

We are now a CM3 accredited organisation, demonstrating our compliance with Workplace Health and Safety requirements. This compliance is independently audited and makes our clients aware of our ongoing commitment to Health and Safety here at Raw Worx.

GEL – Acrylic Resin for Success Acrylic Resins (Hyrdro Structural) are extremely low viscosity resin’s or injectable membranes. The performance of these resins are under-estimated with there ability to provide a successful leak proof structure. Due to its low viscosity the resin can be injected into the smallest of areas and flow’s extremely well. The external sealing of large areas or joints in existing structures, to prevent water ingress, is a sophisticated operation. Revealing the buried structure is often impossible or extremely difficult and costly. A sound and reliable alternative is the curtain injection technique using Acrylic Resins. By drilling through the structure to the interface between the waterproofing membrane and the backfill a hydrostructural gel can be injected. This forms an elastic membrane when cured and establishes an impervious seal against any moisture. They have a reaction time that can be adjusted to as quick as 9 Seconds! Raw Worx is involved in the residential, commercial, civil and major infrastructure markets. We have built a reputation for quality, honest & effective waterproofing work to new construction and refurbishment projects and are often the builders preferred option to supply and install membrane systems that will work. Whilst they may look strong and unbreakable, often civil structures have minor defects that need to be rectified before or after hand over. Airport Link Tunnel – Brisbane QLD Tunnel Leak/Crack Sealing and Concrete Repairs

With a team of internationally and/or specifically trained technicians, Raw Worx provided over 14,000 man hours to this project. We were the sole preferred contractor to install acrylic injection resins for curtain membranes, fire rated concrete repair mortars to damaged concrete & polyurethane/epoxy injection to cracked concrete in the Segmental Lined TBM Tunnel in Toombul. Raw Worx was also a preferred contractor on the Kedron Cut & Cover Tunnel site to supply and install acrylic resin injection to seal leaking concrete pile walls & polyurethane injection for leaking cracks and joints through concrete elements. Our team also provided joint curtain membranes, leak and structural crack injection and cementitous grouting to the Toombul Civils and Bridges sites.

Raw Worx also supplied the pumps & equipment to perform the works with the MC Bauchemie Resins. Our relationship with principal contractor TJH and its engineers ensured the required outcomes were achieved on a daily basis.

King George Square Busway Tunnel – Brisbane City QLD Leaking Crack & Construction Join Injection

With a winning tender, Raw Worx was contracted to supply and install QDMR approved Polyurethane Resins to leaking construction elements during Roadtek’s remediation of the Busway Tunnel. Using the correct method of injection our team repaired the leaks which were a result of a previous failed injection by another contractor.

Raw Worx supplied all Quality Assurance documents to satisfy QDMR’s strict requirements.

Commercial Office Building – Brisbane QLD Structural Concrete Repairs

Our specialist training positions us as experts in structural remediation to concrete structures. This building was near 30 years old and had several damaged areas that required repair as per the structural engineers report. Raw Worx implemented a repair method which included Epoxy Crack injection to large cracks and concrete spalling repairs where required.

Our team performed the repairs over night shift as to not disturb the normal operation of the busy building.

Wyaralong Dam – Beaudesert QLD Dam: Leak sealing & Proof Grouting

Raw Worx was contracted to QLD's newest dam to be constructed in the state. Specialist application of Acrylic Resin was required to be applied to leaking cold joints by means of grid pattern injection. Proof Grouting with this Resin was also applied to the Bell Mouth Intake Pipe to ensure a watertight seal. Our team provided the solutions and systems used including the

fabrication and supply of custom injection packers.

Penguin Exhibit – Gold Coast QLD Leak Detection & Repairs

The use of an existing structure at the SeaWorld Penguin Encounter led to a problematic water leak during construction.

Raw Worx implemented a successful solution with the use of ultra low viscosity resins in working temperatures of approximately 4 degrees. A construction join between two slabs around the pool was sealed by means of the high pressure injection of acrylic gel with a 2 component pump to prevent the further ingress of pool water to outside moisture sensitive areas.

Clem 7 Tunnel – Brisbane QLD Tunnel Sealing & Repairs

As one of Raw Worx’s first major projects our skills and ability to work under pressure was put to the test. We passed. Supplying up to 1000 man hours, involving our overseas trained technicians, Raw Worx sealed and repaired some of the most challenging leaks faced by the tunnel – 50m directly under the ‘Brisbane River’. High pressure water flow and large voids were some of the challenges faced by the repair teams.

Engaged by the Principal Contractor to provide membrane systems as specified to various construction parts to provide a 10 year seal against moisture penetration. QBSA Licensed and a manufacturer recommended applicator.
