Cisco I&C Community StrategyNALC West - How Cisco partners and cultivates EROs and Networks
Office of Inclusion & Collaboration – Global I&C Community & Experience PillarMaria Medrano – DirectorSeptember 8 2017
#NALCWest
Connect EROs & Networks to different diversity
dimensions
Incorporate the I&C Community Framework
into talent
Invite employees to come in and support
Build a way for each ERO and Network to remain focus and support various diversity dimensions (i.e., culture, gender, race, allies, work, events, etc.) by leveraging the I&C Framework
Create opportunities for allies to join the conversations to support and grow the various groups.
I&C Community Global Strategy
• Many are looking to be champions. Here at Cisco, we want to set our communities up to:
• Attract – we want to attract top talent by focusing on our people • Develop – we want to retain our employees by developing them• Promote – focus on who we can target • Safe Space – create a safe space for employees to be heard for what matters to “them”
• Using our MFI (Men for Inclusion) group as an example we have created a group where each executive board member is aligned to one of our 10 EROs. This creates:
• An opportunity to bring in business strategy• Become the voice• Show up and provide business solutions
