New workstyles aren’t just about new technology or space, it is about developing new work behaviours that will assist to support the culture. Authenticity, trust and respect form the values that support new workstyles. Behavioural, change and communications strategies should be implemented. Executive leadership and support are fundamental to successfully deliver an ABW environment.

The work environment needs to support different work style preferences and activities performed. ABW is more than simply ‘hot desking’, it is providing spaces which support different activities and promote efficiency. This does not necessarily stop at the work, meeting and collaboration spaces, it may also be additional amenities to support employees lifestyles e.g. childcare centres, relaxation spaces.
