Slide Types

• Home Ribbon

• New Slide▼

• Choose slide type

Automatically Updating Dates

• Insert Ribbon

• Date & Time

• Choose the format you wish to insert in a text box

• Click OK

Embed Excel Charts

• Right click on Excel Chart

• Copy

• Open PowerPoint

• On content area of slide:

• Right click

• Choose leftmost Paste option

Adding Equation to Slides

• Select equation

• Right click

• Copy

• Open PowerPoint

• In blank area of slide:

• Right click

• Choose leftmost Paste option

Slide Headers & Footers

• Insert Ribbon

• Header & Footer

• Add:• Date and time

• Side number

• Footer• Text is your name

• Click Apply to All

Modify Master Slide

• View Ribbon

• Master Slide

• In Master Slide view:• In the slide navigation

pane on left:

• go to very top

• Select the slide

• Anything you edit here will apply to ALL SLIDES

Notice how the blue rectangle was applied to all slides

Design Themes

• Design Ribbon

• In Themes group

• Click the design you wish to use

Slide Animations

• Select picture to animate

• Animations Ribbon

• Choose an animation of your

choice

Slide Transitions

• Transitions Ribbon

• On the left slide view pane

• Select the slide or slides you wish to apply transition to

• Choose the transition of your choice

• Note: you will see a small gray star to the left of the slides with a transition applied
