1. Presentation basics:
A Visual Aid
Slides are simply another visual aid to support your presentation – just as a flip chart is!
Right
What is the presentation? YOU are the presentation. The entire learning environment you create. Not the PowerPoint. The PowerPoint is merely a visual aid
Wrong
The presenter should be more important than the slides.

Less is More
I used the “Send to Microsoft Word” technique to create this handout.
Less words = more student learning If there are too many words on a slide the audience often will “tune you out” to read the slide. It is also very difficult for your audience to pick out the key points with all the extra text. If extra information is absolutely essential, consider using the Notes feature of PowerPoint. Use the “Send to Microsoft Word” command to create a handout that includes both the slides and notes.
2. Creating your title slide
This is My Title Slide
And here is my Subtitle
Click to add your title text where it says “Click to add title: Do the same for your subtitle The first slide in a blank PowerPoint files is the title slide. The title slide has its own special formatting and features. Use as the first slide in a presentation, and also (if desired) to announce new “chapters” or new major topics.
