POWERPOINTS for Elementary Music
GOALS:
Help music teachers use technology to make their job easier, use less paper, meet frameworks, and teach folk songs to our
students.
Review computer skills, copy, paste, attach, save, save as, etc.
Help teachers feel comfortable using technology.
I will set up an index with examples from PowerPoint 2007 for the teachers to use when they need help.

SAVE AS 97-2003 (*.ppt) allows the old software to open the file without needing the Compatibility software.
Save As PowerPoint Show (*.ppsx) creates file that opens directly into the show without needing user action.

Select a Folk Song
Choose a folk song that you have a Magazine or lyrics for
• Make a PowerPoint with the lyrics. (Font needs to be size 28 or bigger) You can do a Google search for example…. “Oh Susanna lyrics” or Oh Susanna Powerpoint. Then copy and paste to make it your own.
• Add pictures from clip art or from the Internet
• Save it on your flash drive.• Email me a copy of it.
[email protected] so I can put them in a group of folk songs with an index for all of us to use.
