Charging
Charging possibilities:
• Depot charging (overnight charging)
• Terminal charging (typically defined as less than two hour)
• En-route charging (occurs when the bus stops momentarily to pick up and drop off passengers)
Charging plug(s):
It permits charge outputs of up to 150 kW and current strengths up to 200 A.
Pantograph :
Pantograph transfers electrical power from a charging station to a vehicle, provides a stationary supply especially during opportunity charging

Application (1)
ZF's electric drive axle for London's ultra-low emission zone (ULEZ)
• Metropolises such as London are facing enormous challenges, in particular is threatened by a permanent traffic jam caused by private transport, emissions are rising and people's health and quality of life are declining.
• Starting in summer 2019, the AxTrax AVE electric drive axle from ZF will support all-electric driving on 31 double-decker OptareMetrodecker EVs, battery-electric versions of the iconic red double-decker buses in London, known as The London Metrodecker Evs.
• Specification
GVW of 18,000 kg, each have a capacity of 90 passengers, and a range of over 150 miles. Powerful and environmentally friendly, ZF's AxTrax AVE electric drive axle drives low-floor buses up to a maximum axle load of 13,000 kilograms. The electric motors integrated into the wheel heads have a total output of 250 kilowatts.
