Description : NBAD is a commercial building that consists of thirty-three floors, a mezzanine floor, a ground floor and three basements with a total height of 202.00m. This tall structure encompasses many unusual features, which clearly manifest the modern architectural concept. It was a real challenge for our firm – as the structural engineer – to produce a design that keeps the integrity of the architectural design. The primary load bearing members in this structure are: the floor slabs, the core walls and the four main 2.0m diameter columns.
