BSC’s National Energy Center of Excellence is a world leader in energy education and training for the energy industry. Power Plant Technology is designed to prepare graduates for entry-level employment in the operation of modern fossil fuel power plants, gas turbine facilities, and other facilities where steam or electricity is generated. Students learn the technical and safety aspects of plant operations, responsibilities of plant operators, and the mechanical and chemical technology needed to work in related industrial operations. Offered on campus and online, the accredited program has two graduation options: Associate in Applied Science and Program Certificate. Students can also pursue an accelerated degree.
