ENGINE The QSC 8.3 and QSL 9.0 litre combine productivity and power with fuel efficiency. Using Cummins advanced in-cylinder technology, the QSC and QSL maintains performance, dependability and durability while operating cleanly and efficiently. Advanced electronics enhance engine performance, with better torque and faster throttle response.

The Cummins has a history of reliability and durability in the agriculture industry, known for its cold start ability and smooth operation, including less engine noise and vibration which means less operator fatigue.

TRANSMISSIONUpshifting and downshifting is as easy as the push of a button. Models are equipped with an Univance 16 x 9 full powershift transmission that has been refined for smooth shifting, particularly when under load. An innovative design that features large helical cut case hardened gears on roller bearings ensures the operation is durable, smooth and quiet.

HYDRAULICSThe closed center load sensing hydraulic system provides ample capacity for implements that demand high hydraulic flow by providing pressure and flow on demand. When no hydraulic power is required, the system goes into low-pressure standby to conserve energy, providing more power at the drawbar.

Electro-hydraulics are standard and are ergonomically designed for both comfort and convenience. Finger-tip controls manage the hydraulic functions and hydraulic flow is increased or decreased using the on-screen display.

• The reliable Cummins engine provides the power for Versatile tractors, with improved torque rise together with high displacement. The tractor will pull through heavy spots without needing to change gears. • Versatile’s trademark reliable planetary drive system has not changed.

• DeltaTrack models come standard with the durable industrial based CAT® Powershift Transmission. This 16F x 4R CAT Powershift Transmission features engineered modulation for smooth shifting under load and full shuttle capability. There are eight closely spaced gears in the critical working range. The transmission is 40-80% heavier than competitive transmissions for a longer life. • Fuel tanks are centrally located which means tractor front/rear ballasting balance is not affected as fuel is consumed.

• The modular tractor design means less downtime and easier servicing of components. • The drawbar pull point is immediately behind the articulation point which provides maximum pulling power when making tight turns.

FRAME CONSTRUCTION The frame is manufactured from thick high-grade steel plate to ensure structural integrity even under extreme conditions. The main bearing at the articulation point is oversized to enhance reliability.

OSCILLATION & ARTICULATIONThe flexibility provided by the subframe and drag link assembly permits up to 15° of oscillation on each side (30° total) as the tractor moves over uneven terrain. Large 3.5” (89 mm) steering cylinders articulate the tractor smoothly and quickly. A maximum articulation angle of 42° means a tight turnaround radius of less than 16’ (4.9 m).

OUTBOARD PLANETARY AXLESAll models feature a large, reliable heavy-duty planetary final drive to provide long service with heavily ballasted tractors and big implements. Large bearings support the planetary hubs on the axle housings.

Outboard planetary axles deliver all available horsepower through a large, precision machined floating sun gear. The planetary hubs are suspended on large diameter bearings mounted directly to the axle tubes. The load is supported by the axle housing assembly and not by the drive train components.

All Versatile tractors feature reliable final drives that deliver horsepower where it counts; at the drawbar.
