Power of the VOICE Seminar 27 & 28 November 2015

Women make up over half the population of Guernsey and 46% of the local workforce, yet hold only five out of 47 States seats.

• Are the voices of the women of Guernsey being heard?• What role do women play in setting the policy and political direction for

our island?• Is the wider Guernsey population represented at political level?

Join us to debate and explore how to bring about an enthusiastic engagement of women in the political process.

PROGRAMME

27 Nov - Princess Royal Centre for Performing Arts. 7.00pm - 9.30pm

Buffet supper PLUS performance and entertainment from award winning British stand-up comedian and writer Shazia Mirza.

28 Nov - Les Cotils. 8.30am (breakfast) Seminar 9.00am - 1.00pm

Panel discussions, presentations and dialogue. Panellists will include local politicians and the event will be interactive with a a clear focus on creating a ‘what’s next?’ action plan.

Shazia is an award winning British stand up comedian and writer. She works all over the world and has toured the US, and Europe. She has appeared on CBS 60 Minutes, NBC’s Last Comic Standing, and BBC’s Have I got News for You.
