Michigan, the Point is nestled in the heart of Southwest

Michigan’s wine and fruit country.

Our country club is not only steeped in history and

tradition, it also conveys a comfortable and personal

ambience rivaling the finest member-owned clubs in the

country.

Point O’ Woods, a Robert Trent Jones Sr. masterpiece, is

known for its walkability. The park-like atmosphere with

rolling terrain weaving past challenging greens, strategic

hazards and the stands of venerable trees (some 6600 in

all), was all part of the plan 60 years ago when Jones laid

out the course which he later described as “perhaps my

best American course.”

Recreational and clubhouse amenities include an 18

hole golf course, swimming & diving pool, tennis courts,

a snack bar and restaurant. All this, along with a stylish

new clubhouse overlooking the 18th green, makes for a

Founded in 1958, Point O’ Woods has always played a role in the surrounding community. This includes a continuing commitment to the excellence of our Caddie program. Thirty-three caddies have won the Evans Scholarship for Caddies, a nationwide program granting more than 200 full tuition and housing awards each year.

Regular Membership:Complete access to golf, pool, tennis & dining for the entire family. Regional Membership:Complete access to golf, pool, tennis & dining for the entire family. Regional members pay 60% of dues plus greens fees. Primary residence restrictions apply.Junior Membership:For individuals under the age of 40. Dues are prorated based on age. This Membership will convert to a Regular Membership when the member reaches age 40.Family Recreation Membership:Complete access to pool, tennis & dining for the entire family.

The Point is centrally located in Benton Harbor, a short distance from the delightful lakeside towns and communities of Southwest Michigan. Our members come from Grand Rapids to South Bend, and Chicago to Kalamazoo.

Long known as a special place for both families and individual golfing members, the Point is the perfect venue for business people, offering a sophisticated atmosphere for entertaining customers and vendors and hosting meetings and staff get-togethers.

By adopting the USGA TEE IT FORWARD program we have leveled the playing field by using average driving distance rather than age, gender or handicaps to determine the appropriate tee sets/course yardages for players. This has allowed the Point to remain a stiff challenge for the scratch golfer as well as enjoyable for the recreational golfer.

The Point provides the perfect oasis from the crowds during Southwest Michigan’s busy summer months. Dine at your own private restaurant overlooking the 18th green, enjoy a quick round of golf, play tennis, or spend a day at the pool with your family.
