Junior Handling class will be judged at 9.30am (Prompt).

Entry fees:

£2.00 per Bird, £1.00 per Egg class and Trio classes £2.00.

Exhibitors will be issued:

1 Show Entry Pass for every 5 entries (excluding egg classes).

POULTRY SHOW

1ST AUGUST 2020

CONDITIONS RELATING TO THE EXHIBITION OF POULTRY

1. Postal entries only accepted with payment by the closing date.

2. Strictly no entries allowed after the closing date.

3. The committee reserves the right to refuse any entry.

4. The Poultry Show is a Voucher Show, will be held under PCGB rules, and all exhibitors will be bound by

such rules.

5. Every exhibitor will be responsible for the correctness of their entries, and the statements on the entry and

participant declaration forms.

6. The poultry tent is open for penning from 7.30am and must be completed by 9.15 am without exception.

7. Judging will commence at 9.30am

8. Boxing will commence after prize giving is concluded and exhibitors are given permission to do so. No

exhibits will be permitted to leave the poultry tent until all birds have been accounted for, and permission for

release has been given by the tent stewards.

9. All exhibits are the bona fide property of the exhibitor at the time of entry.

10. Acknowledgements of entries will be sent out to the exhibitors address as stated on their entry form.

Exhibitors will receive a pack containing confirmation of their entries, show and parking passes along with

information for vehicular drop off. In the event that this has not been received by one week prior to the show,

or if there are any errors or omissions, then please contact the secretary in order that corrections can be

made thus avoiding confusion or delays on the morning of the show. IMPORTANT. Penning numbers will

NOT be sent, all exhibitors MUST register their arrival at the Secretary’s table within the poultry tent to

collect their penning numbers and hand in their declaration forms.

11. Exhibitors with 5 poultry entries or more (excluding eggs) will receive 1 Show entry ticket.

12. 1 Car Park pass will be issued per exhibitor.

13. The committee reserves the right to substitute alternative judges from those stated on the poultry schedule.

14. Male and Female classes of the same breed may be amalgamated if there are three or less entries.

15. The Committee reserves the right to split classes if larger numbers warrant.

16. The Poultry marquee will be cleared of ALL exhibitors prior to the Judges entering the tent without exception

17. A Steward of the society will remain in charge of the Feather Marquee throughout the show, for the

protection of the exhibits.

18. Whilst every care is taken, the society cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to birds or

equipment during the show.

19. Feeding, watering and overall care of the exhibits will be the sole responsibility of the exhibitors.

22. Prize giving / awards will be held in the poultry tent at 4.15pm, any unclaimed prize money by the close of

the show will go towards the running costs of the show.

23. Any perpetual Cups and Trophies must be returned to the section secretary prior to 1st July 2021 at the

exhibitors expense. Professional engraving may be carried out at the exhibitors expense.

24. Protests will be dealt with in accordance with PCGB guidelines.

25. The decisions of the committee and the Judges are final.

26. BIO SECURITY

DEFRA regulations require all birds to be inspected before being penned. A declaration form will

be sent out to exhibitors, this must be completed and handed in to the secretary upon arrival at the

show. All show boxes / baskets or crates must be fully cleansed and disinfected both prior to the

event, and upon return home before they are used to hold any other bird. It is advisable to isolate

birds returning from a gathering from other stock you may own for a minimum 7-day period and

scrutinise their condition carefully during this period. All exhibitors must ensure that their birds are

clean and free from lice, scaly leg etc. and in general good health. Tenbury Agricultural Society

reserve the right to exclude any birds not complying with bio security, and entry fees will NOT be

refunded.

Exhibition pens have been washed and disinfected before this show.

27. CANCELLATION. In the unfortunate event that the Poultry Show is cancelled due to disease, poor

weather or any other reason outside the Society’s control, the Society will refund entry fees minus

£1.00 to cover administration costs.

28. CONDITIONS OF DATA STORAGE Information from entry forms may be stored on computer.

Information about results may also be published or provided to media platforms and breed

societies for publication. Information about exhibitors or their exhibits may also be provided to

DEFRA or other official bodies. The making of entries to this show is irrevocable consent for the

storage and disclosure of personal information in this way.

Any exhibitor making entries to this show shall be deemed to have agreed to

abide by these conditions, and it is on this understanding that those entries are

accepted.
