NEW FASHIONS The newest fashions have just arrived.
All over the world, extenuating the
shoulders is all the rage. Shoulder pads,
baggy sleeves, and other designs are all
ways of attracting attention to the sleek
form of the shoulders.
Another fashion tip for the ladies is to
wear longer skirts. The length works well
with all shapes and sizes.
Who wears hand mad e fab rics
anymore? Well, only those who are out of
touch with fashion. Manmade materials are
growing in popularity because of the ease of
producing them and their great look.
Nylon, rayon and other materials are here
to stay.
Ladies, listen to this sage advice, no
matter your body type, curves are always
attractive. And don’t forget gloves. The
longer the glove, the better. A new style, even worn by Queen Elizabeth, is having
long gloves with short sleeves. Gloves are no
longer just for keeping warm; they are most
importantly used for looking great.
Now to the men. Just because you are
men doesn’t mean you don’t need to care
about how you look. There are just a few
short, easy steps to attracting the woman of
your dreams. Step one, stick to normal
colours. Do not get carried away with the
old fashions of having coloured suits.
Blacks, grays, and navies are all wonderful
choices for a sophisticated man. When
buying a suit make sure it is drape cut, or a
drape suit. The suit will form to the body
nicer than the old fashions and will make
any man look trimmer.
Step two, the tie. Choose a tie that will
catch people’s attention. Ties with
geometric shapes and patterns will do the
trick. Although suits are moving away from
bright colours, ties are not. Ties are the
perfect accessory to liven up an outfit.
The third and final step ends with the
shoes. Sleek, leather shoes will add the
finishing touch to an almost perfect look. As
long as they match the rest of the attire, becreative with the style. With shoes, there is
always room for personality.
By following all these tips, it is
practically impossible not to cause a riot
when entering a room. Stay posted to here
about every change in style.

INFLUENCE OF THE ARTS After World War I, people have grown
tired of all the tragedies of war and they
need an area in their life where they can
relax. After all the stress of work and the
terrible economy here in America, people
are finding that it is very good and healthy
to have a mode of rest and an activity to get
the mind off of all the hardships of life. If
this sounds anything like you or someone
you know, then the answer for your problem
is right here; Art.
Art has been around for centuries and
all the while it is being changed and made
better. New styles are always being brought
about. People begin to think of their own
ways to make art personal. Art should be a
reflection of who you are as a person, not
just a style that was copied from a hundred
years ago.
One of the hottest styles of the day iscubism. Artists like Pablo Picasso and
Georges Braque, the “founders” of cubism,
display it very well in many pieces of
artwork. The straight, geometric lines and
shapes are used to depict a picture of often
humans, but occasionally other subjects as
well. Cubism is a very abstract type of art.
Also if you like the more 3D look, you can
try synthetic cubism, which uses pieces of
paper to make a collage type of artwork.
Another style of art that is becoming
popular is surrealism, the art of dreams.
Salvador Dali is the fore runner for
surrealism. Dali’s art puts a spin on
traditional art by adding flare and unusual
shapes.
Creativity is key in both styles of art.
Without the same limits as older art, this
modern art allows you to do whatever
strikes you. Art has never before seen this
kind of limitlessness.
“Art is a lie that
makes us realize
the truth.”
-Pablo Picasso

“Surrealism is
destructive, but it
destroys only what
it considers to beshackles limiting
our vision.”
-Salvador Dali
