International FoodTec India, Sweet and SnackTec India, Dairy Universe India and PackEx India 2014 emerged as a truly international exhibition in the Indian Subcontinent

With 48% international exhibitors from over 30 countries, International FoodTec India, Sweet and SnackTec India, Dairy

Universe India and PackEx India exhibition once again confirmed its position as the best business platform that provides

technological solutions for the food and drink industry and the packaging industry in the Indian subcontinent. With an

increase of 6% in visitor numbers and 38% in exhibitor numbers, the exhibition was extremely successful. Over 12,000 one

time registered trade visitors came to the Bombay Exhibition Centre during November 14­16, 2014 to gather insights on the

latest trends in technologies for the respective industry sectors. With over 80% exhibitors from India and abroad confirming

their participation in the 2015 edition, clearly shows their satisfaction with the quality and quantity of the visitors to this

exhibition.

As in the past, most of the key visitors from different industry sectors were present during all the 3 days at the exhibition and

witnessed products and technologies from a total of 466 exhibitors. Striking features were the stand presentations of the

exhibitors which were more extravagant than in the past years and over 200 exhibitors giving live demo of their machines.

Also, a significant number of Indian and international exhibitors used this platform to launch their latest products and

services, thus benchmarking this event as “The platform” for the respective industry sectors.

The picture on the trade fair ground was characterized by intensive technical discussions at trade fair stands. This exhibition

acted as a great platform for buyers and sellers of technology for food, drinks, dairy, confectionary, snacks, pharmaceuticals

and FMCG among others to exchange dialogues & facilitate more business for future. It also gave the exhibitor’s existing

clientele an insight into the latest manufacturing techniques. The stream of visitors continued unabated even on Sunday, the

last day of the fair.

Concurrent Seminars

The event proved out to be a great source for knowledge sharing with seminars organized by Indian Dairy Association

(West Zone) and Indian Pharma Machinery Manufacturers Association (IPMMA) for the dairy and pharma sector

respectively. The Guest of Honour, for the ‘Future of Milk Based Nutraceuticals’ seminar by IDA­WZ, was Prof. Dr. G. D.

Yadav, Vice Chancellor & Dr. Mrs. Smita Lele, AG Registrar, ICT (Institute of Chemical Technology) and Mr. M. D. Deore,

Director – Toxicology, Johnson & Johnson, Speakers panel include eminent dignitaries from GCMMF, Alfa Laval and other

important companies. ‘Packaging Innovations in Pharmaceutical industry’ organized by IPMMA witnessed delegates from

Sun Pharma Industries Pvt. Ltd., Stora Enso India., Akumentis Healthcare Ltd., Alembic Pharmaceuticals among others.
