Panel Discussions
Panel Discussion on Alternate Channels Migration - From Transactions to Relationships
Has the flowering of E-commerce encouraged customers to buy banking & financial products online?
Is there a paradigm shift in the application of alternate channels?
Earlier alternate channels were for transactions and branches were for selling.
The role of alternative channels is changing from pure transaction to selling as well. To prevent mis-selling
and to ensure customer satisfaction, banks have to carefully orchestrate their channels to engage with
customers to offer them the most relevant products that lead to customer satisfaction and bank
profitability. This surely calls for a lot of efforts, innovation, technology upgradation, customer feedback,
testing, etc
Moderator: Shri. Suresh N Pai, Advisor, IndusInd Bank
Panelists:
Shri. Sanjeev Patel, EVP, HDFC Bank
Shri. Anand Gupta, Head - Alternate Channels, Dhanlaxmi Bank
Shri. Lalit Sinha, General Manager - Alternate Channels & New Initiatives, Union Bank of India
Shri. Ajay Vyas, DGM, Central Bank of India
Shri V. Babu, Nodal Officer, Cash Tree ATM Network
Panel Discussion on White label ATM’s – Opportunities and Challenges
Innovative approaches are the need of the hour to tackle India's extremely low ATM penetration. Given the
low returns on ATM investments in remote locations, and the lack of infrastructure, can white label ATMs
offer a practical and viable solution?
White label ATM solutions need to be customized for the Indian scenario to account for fake currency,
financial illiteracy, brand misperceptions, delays in customer complaint resolution, etc. Can risk management
and business growth be managed judiciously?
