COST OF SCHOOL IN EASTERN OREGON MONTHLY (ONTARIO)
Housing= $0 Utilities= $0 Food= $0 Transportation= $50 Clothes= $25 Health care= $130 Personal Care= $50 Entertainment= $50 Miscellaneous= $50
HOUSING FOR ONTARIO If I were to go to school here in Ontario
the housing would cost me nothing because I could just live at home.
UTILITIES Since I will be living at home with my
parents I will not have to pay for any utilities.
FOOD Also, since I would be living at my own
home, I would be able to eat what my parents cook me. So, I will not have to buy or make my own meals.
TRANSPORTATION I drive a truck that my parents allow
me to use. Though, they will probably start making me pay for my own gas sooner or later. So, I plan on probably spending somewhere around $45-$50 a month on gas which is probably more than I will need.
CLOTHES For my clothing, I probably wont wear
that much different clothes. Although, if I see something that I absolutely must have I might buy it. So, I will set aside about $25 a month for clothes even though I most likely wont use it all every month.
HEALTHCARE Since I am 18 now, I need to pay for my
own healthcare. I do not plan on paying for my healthcare through work right off the bat. So, I will probably be spending around $130 monthly on healthcare.
ENTERTAINMENT For entertainment I shouldn’t spend to
awful much, maybe around $50 a month. I shouldn’t be able to spend much because I have friends that I can hang out with in the area, plus on weekends I don’t do much unless I go hunting or fishing. So, the things that I do shouldn’t be very spendy.
PERSONAL CARE I would only spend about $50 a month
on personal care. All I would need to buy is tooth paste, shampoo, etc. Also, I might get a haircut every now and then.
MISCELLANEOUS I wouldn’t spend to much money on
stuff that’s out of the ordinary. Maybe spend about $50 a month on extra gas for traveling places to hunt or fish but that’s it.
COST OF SCHOOL IN WESTERN OREGON (COOS BAY)
Housing= $530 Utilities= $360 Food= $260 Transportation= $50 Clothes= $25 Health care= $130 Personal Care= $50 Entertainment= $50 Miscellaneous= $50
HOUSING Since I wouldn’t have my parents to
mooch off of I would have to get my own one bedroom apartment which would cost me a good solid $530 a month.
UTILITIES Utilities would also cost me a lot of
money. It would cost $360 a month for heating, cable, internet, and cell phone bills.
TRANSPORTATION Transportation would cost me about
$50 a month. If I were to go out of town for college I do not plan on bringing my truck with me. So, I will use public transportation.
CLOTHES For the clothes I would still be in the
same situation. I would wear all of my clothes that I have now, and possibly buy something if I like it.
HEALTH CARE Health care would stay the same. I
would pay for it myself and I wouldn’t get a health care plan from work. So, I would be spending aroun $130 a month.
PERSONAL CARE I Would need all of the essentials like
tooth paste, soap, shampoo, etc. Also, I may get a haircut every now and then. So, all of these things would put me at about $50 monthly.
ENTERTAINMENT For my entertainment I probably would
just rent movies or watch TV, things of that nature. This would put me at about $50 a month.
MISCELLANEOUS If I didn’t live in Ontario, I don’t think
that I would need to buy much for myself. So, I would probably set aside $50 just in case there is something that I absolutely need.
TOTALS My monthly total to live in Coos Bay
and go to college there would be around $1505.
My monthly total to live in Ontario to go to college would be around $355.
CHOICE If I had to choose, I would go to TVCC in
Ontario because it is going to cost me a ton less.
