HUTH FAMILY NEWS
Hi. Neal and I have been traveling the Pacific Northwest with our 150
pound dog, Monte, this year. During a recent trip to Walla Walla,
Washington wine country, we were stopped by a photographer from
the Walla Walla tourism board. He wanted to add Monte to the "Dogs
of Walla Walla" tourism book. Here is one of his photos...
We also just returned from a trip to Bend,
Oregon to celebrate our 22 wedding
anniversary. (Sept 24) No surprises,
Monte was a rock star in Bend too.

HFMCC (Huth Family Mobile Command Center) Update
What began as a concept so the elders (or anyone else for that matter) would no longer have to do things twice;
i.e. load, haul and unload truckloads of the many many supplies & equipment needed to make a reunion great.
Everything could be stored in one place and transported to any reunion location, with access to items as needed.
So an old jobsite Office Trailer parked in the weeds and rotting for a decade was going to be brought back to life.

This past July, we celebrated the 25th Annual Huth Golf Outing at Chenoweth Golf Club in Akron. It
was a successful and impactful event. The day provided beautiful warm and sunny weather. Over
100 golfers participated including family, friends and supportive members of the business
community…plus a bunch of volunteers. To celebrate this 25th silver anniversary there were some new
twists to this year’s event… a hole-in-one contest featuring a BMW car as the grand prize, plus raffle
prizes of a Las Vegas golf trip, box seat Indians tickets, golf clubs and many other great gifts.
The golf outing is the main fundraising event for the Henry and Lauretta Huth Charitable Foundation. The recipients
for this years’ s events included Project Rebuild of North Canton and scholarships for St Joseph Grade School in
Randolph. Both of these organizations have strong ties and purpose with the Foundation mission. Project Rebuild
helps at-risk youths develop skills in the building trade. St Joseph grade school is recognized for providing top notch
education. St Joseph Parish and the Huth family have ties that date back to the 1890’s. We are monitoring and
sharing in the successes of the recipients of the foundation efforts.
The success of the golf outing is a result of so many family members. Dick Huth (10) and Barb Hill (9) provide the
leadership and vision. They have carried the torch in the spirit of the many other Huth siblings that together created
the Foundation. Hank’s presence was with us through the entire preparation and on the day of the event.
Many thanks to so many of the other family members whose talents and energy makes this such a special
event: JR, Mark J, Tad H, Dr. Dick Hill, Debbie, Cindy and Greg, Nancy Bartlow, Kristen, Sadie, Bryan and
Natalia, and Jenny.
In the spirit of Lauretta and Henry, the legacy and shared vision of helping youth carries on!
All family members are invited to come and be part of the days activities...whether a golfer or not. If you're
interested in helping out or offering your talents…just let us know!
Laura and Frank Acierno (10) held their tenth annual fall
clambake on October 1, 2016. Usually, this is a time when the
Acierno side of the family gets together so most pictured are
Aciernos. But Dick Huth (10) and Jan Grell as well as Tad Huth (10)
and Yolanda were in attendance. We went through thirty dozen
clams, a crock pot of chowder, 5 pounds of redskin potatoes, 21
ears of corn, chicken, and plenty of beer and wine. We had
guests travel all the way from Rio Rico, AZ to be there.
One face you may have seen at the reunion from many years past is that of Gwen Barnick (10). She came all
the way from Fort Lauderdale FL as part of a gift from her children. She says she had a fabulous time seeing
everyone though she wished she could have seen many others as well. She enjoyed all the stories the most. We
sure can spin them can't we?

Welcome To The Family!
Dana Huth & Neal Ryan (12) celebrated their 22nd
Wedding Anniversary on Sept 24th.
Tim Huth and Lisa Andres (2) welcomed their first born, beautiful Isabella
Wanda Helen Andres-Huth at 10:47 pm Pacific time on 10/2/16. Just 1 and 1/4
hr too soon to be on cousin Aaron Bokas's 16th birthday. Marty and Helen
Huth (2) are thrilled to have a granddaughter after 6 grandsons.
A major restoration was still
needed so Phase II began
prior to the 2016 reunion. It
was not totally completed for
the reunion, but performed
well.
Phase II restoration was recently completed in
September. Ready for a Winter hybernation with
only a few minor items to complete prior to the
2017 reunion. Otherwise, up for the task and
ready to roll at reunion time for years to come.

DanniJae Huth (12) spent the month of
July celebrating her first birthday. It
started with her mother Young taking
DanniJae on her first trip abroad to
meet her Korean family. After returning
home, local friends and family
continued the celebration with a
traditional Korean party.
