  • CHAPLAIN’S MESSAGE:

    A HUNTING WE WILL GO

A Boy Scout leader came to my home and

asked if I would join the BSA. No, Dad

said. He told me that he would teach me

all about the great outdoors. Dad was

once a farmer and later a cowboy. He

would teach me how to hunt and fish.

2 Peter 1:3-4: Jesus called us by His glo-

ry and goodness. Through these He gave

us the very great and precious promise.

How about this funny about the optimist

and the pessimist: The optimist and his

dog went duck hunting with his buddy,

the pessimist. When a duck was downed

at the far end of the lake, the dog would

fetch it. This dog could run on top of the

water. The optimist asked the pessimist

what he thought of that. The pessimist

said, Well, that dog can’t swim.

    With much love,

    Rev Rod—Go Big Red!
