Rescue those being led away to death; hold back those staggering toward slaughter.

The EMTs were confused. Blood was pouring off the examination table and onto the floor. “This is what happens when you have an abortion. Just let it finish.” But we were adamant; we had seen a baby, perfectly formed, with a steady beating heart.

At the hospital, the doctors wouldn’t even look at her. “Go home, and finish your abortion. There’s nothing we can do.”

“Lily” had taken the first step of the abortion pill and just gone back to work. After all, at the abortion clinic, they had said that taking the abortion pill was that simple. As a newly single mom of two little kids, working through separation and divorce with her husband, she knew she just couldn’t have another baby. It was going to be hard enough to take care of the two she already had at home. But the nagging thoughts wouldn’t leave her alone. And her sister kept texting her, “It’s not the baby’s fault that you are going through a hard time. You can’t do this.”

When Lily got home that night, her fear and doubt growing stronger by the minute, she told her husband what she had done. He immediately started searching for help and found “Abortion Pill Reversal,” a procedure that is offered only in a handful of places in the country, one of which was in their backyard: right here at the Pregnancy Clinic Ministry.

Abortion Pill Reversal is a new procedure designed to help save the baby from the effects of the first step of the abortion pill process. The Abortion Pill, also known as medical abortion, is a two-step process. The first step cuts off the supply of progesterone, which is vital for a growing baby. The second step induces labor and empties the uterus. The first medication is taken in a clinic, but the second one is taken at home, where the rest of the process plays out without any direct medical supervision. Many women feel regret after they take the first pill, and that is when we are able to step in and offer progesterone therapy to help save the baby.

When Lily and her husband came to the clinic and went through the counseling process, they decided to try to save the life of their baby through the Abortion Pill Reversal procedure. On the ultrasound screen was a tiny little body, beautiful and healthy, with a beating heart. But just as the sonogram ended, Lily began to hemorrhage violently. The EMTs who came by ambulance didn’t want to take her to the hospital. From their perspective, she was having an abortion and this was what she should expect. But we insisted that she go to the hospital, knowing that this amount of bleeding was dangerous and that what we had seen on the sonogram screen was not an abortion completing itself but a healthy baby who could possibly be saved. continued on page 2

For 35 years, I have been privileged to witness firsthand women’s lives impacted and turned around, babies rescued from abortion, families strengthened, post-abortive women receive healing, and it doesn’t get much better than this. Like me, many of you grew up in a world that is very different from this current one. In this newsletter you got to read about a new life-saving service we are offering, Abortion Pill Reversal (APR), and meet Isabella Joy, our 1st baby saved through APR. Since then our second baby saved through APR has been born and we are grateful for the partnership that allows us to be on the forefront of lifesaving technology.

Our clients of today, the millennials and Generation Z, are shifting from TV and cable to streaming videos and music from sources such as Pandora, Spotify, Instagram, and YouTube. We have to be relevant in our marketing to reach these women of today who are at risk for abortion. This new day we live in brings new opportunities we had almost given up hope of ever seeing and brings us amazing challenges and opportunities to be Christ to this hurting world.

At the hospital, the doctors were no better. “Go home and finish your abortion. There’s nothing we can do.” But we encouraged them not to leave until a doctor had seen them. Sure enough, after much persistence, a doctor examined her and found a healthy pregnancy, not an aborted baby, and no defined cause for the bleeding. When they discharged her and sent her home, she came back to us instead and began progesterone therapy in hopes that the baby would continue to survive the effects of the abortion pill.

And survive she did. “Isabella Joy” was born healthy and beautiful, perfectly knitted together, safe and sound. “I know it’s going to be a struggle, but when I see her, I give thanks to God that she is here, safe and healthy. Without the Pregnancy Clinic, my baby would not be here. They believed in me. They encouraged me. They helped me when everyone just said, ‘Go home and finish your abortion.’ And now she’s here, and I thank God for her every day.”

Pregnancy Clinic Ministry35th Anniversary Banquet

It is overwhelming and humbling to look out over 700 seats in a single ballroom and know that each one of the people to be sitting in them has been prayed for and provided for by our generous underwriters. On March 9th, we gathered at the BWI Marriott to celebrate 35 years and thousands of lives saved through the Pregnancy Clinic Ministry. Over $300,000 was raised to save even more lives in the years to come. Five different clients shared with us their unique and beautiful stories about how the Pregnancy Clinic was instrumental as they chose life for their babies. These brave women and their families stood up in front of the room and personally thanked everyone gathered for making it possible for the Lord to change their lives through the Pregnancy Clinic Ministry. Dr. Marc Newman, who traveled to us from California, challenged us, as residents of a state where abortion is permitted on demand, until term, and funded by taxpayer dollars, to be a hero for women who feel as though they have no choice.
