Position Overview
Inspection Services Group (ISG), Service Delivery Division (SDD) the largest group in the department. We are biosecurity officers, imported food officers and export control officers. We have a national footprint, delivering services in all capital cities, significant regional out-ports and Australia's offshore territories. Officers work across and beyond the nation in all capital cities, significant regional out-ports and Australia's offshore territories. We perform import/export inspections, and surveillance and business assurance at airports, seaports, mail centres, in-office locations and third-party premises across Australia and the offshore territories. ISG takes a risk-based approach to verify compliance with the Australian Government’s biosecurity and export market requirements. Our services are delivered across a number of pathways and import/export commodities – Travellers, Vessels, Air Cargo and International Mail, Sea cargo, Animal and Biological, Imported Food, Plant and Surveillance/Risk.
The role will be within the ISG Integration team where candidate will be working on projects – progressing Foundation work plan and progressing future directions of ISG in line with SDD priorities. Candidate will need to have problem solving and analytical skills. Candidate will report directly to Assistant Director ISG Integration.

Remuneration
$25.76 per hour

Stage of study: Final or penultimate year of relevant undergraduate or postgraduate degree
