deep down underuNdeRGRouNd hoteliN hoNG koNG cityUnderground is both cause and effect of expressive individualism.

The underground hotel embodies the spirit of prohibition. The radical, subversive, risqué culture perpetuated its own hype, and excitement of secrecy gave way to the speakeasy culture.

The hotel space is based on the concept of the speakeasy. The space offers ethereal experiences that promote both privacy and sociability. The travel into this underground space consists of a dark, twisted fantasy journey that takes us from the surface of reality into the depths of a dream.

deep down understudy oF FoRmsaNd spacesUnderground hotel is created by carving out negative space off the volume forming paths and hollows underneath the center of Hong Kong City. The negative space renders the form of natural landscape which is spreading out and penetrating in every direction.

Thus, unexpected paths and complexity of the dimension introduces visitors and guests to experience adventurous journey in the dark and twisted hidden dimension.
