“Without the box, you can’t think outside of it.”My name is Niklas Palm, born in 1985 in the little (but seen with swedish eyes pretty average) town of Falun. My parents once told me that I was pretty much born with a pencil in my left hand, a pencil that has been stuck since then.

Cars have been my passion for a very long time and it was cars that started off my big interest for design. Since then it has now with my greater knowledge and experience been spread to every corner of the design world. Products, fashion, graphic, typography, art, photography - the list is endless and there is a reason for that - the real passion is to create.

Immobilization equipment in swedish ambulances doesn’t do the job it is supposed to do. Through reviewing the interests of the patients and the emergency personnel, this stretcher minimizes suffering and saves peoples lives.

Under development by investor.

possible solution for future aerospace transport is beam powered propulsion: Lightcraft are vehicles A

powered by remote laser and/or microwave power-stations, employing either “tractor beams” (from above) or “pusher beams” (from below), and exhibiting hyper-energetic performance. Lightcraft will boost out of the atmosphere, coast through the space vacuum, then re-enter the atmosphere and glide in for landing. They have no onboard fuel which reduces their weight, no wings as the Lightcraft thrust-to-weight ratio isgreater than one, and the on-board expendable coolant/propellant can be water, liquid nitrogen, LH2, etc.

When a Lightcraft-system is up and running, the prices for traveling on a Lightcraft should be compatible to today’s flights with commercial airlines. The design of a Lightcraft’s axis-symmetric exterior geometry is driven by aerodynamics and engine considerations, but “tractor-beam” versions can invoke the Directed Energy AirSpike (DEAS) for activecontrol of aerothermodynamics to reduce drag and heat transfer at hypersonic speeds.

In a future where flying can become unaffordable to the masses due to shortage of fossil fuels, Lightcraft make the idea of green aerospace transport possible. The questions are: How would travelling feel like? Will this be the new technology allowing

A green thrillfor the white season. In “the Ultimate Driving Experience”-project, we where told to use the human five senses to create a vehicle that creates a sixth. This is the Audi Icekraft_ - It’s like flying on ice.

Heritage

Saab needs to expand. With the new 2010 9-5 SportSedan, the expansion goes upwards. But to gain new customers they need a small “hot hatch” that makes people walk away from the Golf GTI or the Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

Looking backwards without being retro is the key for success - the 900 Aero from the 80s carries the true DNA that can make Saab succeed in the future.

Tivoli Todays after-market car-stereo systems are not made for old classics, both when it comes to design as well as functionality.

The Tivoli AutoSound is a music player without all the fuzz and buzz. It gives you FM radio-stations and a Blu-ray player. When the channel selector is moved to the left a Blu-ray disc can be placed in the opening. One single BlueRay disc can hold up to 12500 songs - perfect for cruising with your classic ride.

The AutoSound is more than just a car stereo - If you remove the wooden frame and pull it out of the 1DIN holder, the built-in Litium-jon battery enables you to bring your favourite music to the beach.

An iPod or any other mp3-player can be connected to the back of the AutoSound, safe from theft when the unit is in the car.

n the summer of 2005, before i started my education at the Umeå Institute of Design, I had for a long time wanted a sleak and minimalistic bike with some influences from the 19th century racing bikes.

I started off with a military bike from the Swedish Army and then changed the fork to a 1920s Kroon suspended fork. To get that perfect 19th century look i searched all over my home state to find grey tires to perfectly match the Brooks leather saddle and my homemade leather handles. Together with the glossy black color and the red accent of the logo in the front the result is absolutely stunning.
