The bain of being a design consultant is that you are very restricted in showing your work.
However, I learned a great deal working in these projects with sometimes difficult, sometimes wonderful clients (guess who’s who).I was lucky to work on UX, UI an ID projects with experts from all fields.

What a shower can learn from McDonald’s
Where do services have to happen quickly? Looking at everyday facilities like drive-thrus, supermarket regis-tries or hospitals shows the structure behind efficient models. Some can also be applied for the showering process.

Four steps, four stops
If the showering process is divided into four steps and the steps are set up in four different locations, multiple users can use the facility in parallel.“Soft-pulsing” moves the user forward (when the water runs out after three minutes)

Provide the tools
If you lower the entry-cost for the sport you become more attractive for newcomers.
Provide the seeds
Enable competitive features such as lap time tracking. A vending machine for spare parts is convenient for users & creates a new stream of revenue.
Launch new products
Once you have your infrastructure in place it is easier to launch new products, such as zero-emission bikes by adding battery-swap compartments as an extra feature.
