Site Terrain Analysis
People of Chongqing h a v e a l w a y s l i k e d abundant daily leisure activities,and with the improvement of material level, people begin to pursue the rich spiritual life. The original scale and space can not meet the new space demand.
The height difference to the west is nearly 23 meters, and average grade is 22%. Cables go through over it with a wide sphere of riverside vision.
Disadvantages:
The dense population, messy houses, narrow roads, crowded space.Advantages:
It can be built up to the mountains, changed with the terrain and formed as a architecture with layers.
The buildings covers densely and the space is crowded. There is no centralized square space and no effective use of wide riverside landscape.
The terrain in Chongqing i s u n d u l a t e w i t h s t e p s everywhere. Its river view i s w o n d e r f u l a n d t h e viewing desk was built from mountains. You can see the river ’s view from the viewing desk.
The site is located in Wang L o n g M e n A r e a , Fu l i n g , Chongqing City, with the Yangtze River and Wang Long Men Terminal in the east and connected to Jie Fang Dong Road in the west.

Combined with the terrain, it is designed with three steps to make the building integrate into environment better as well as have a better landscape view.
Making use of the hollowed-out center to reduce the atrium and local, it can offer the building more space for lighting and activity.
Generate is extended to the ground to make people fully enjoy the outdoor space.
It makes use of the connection between generates to offer three nodes for people communicating and relaxing.

With the improvement of economic, bungalows have been replaced by high-rise buildings. The fast pace of life leads to the lack of communication among people, as well as reduction in spiritual culture, which requires people in the community to provide a communication platform for cultural heritage. For a long time, the community center is an important public building. It is also an important area to form community culture. We can promote the spread of community culture as well as improve residents’ community identity, their sense of belonging and sense of pride through this building. It is not only a facility to provide daily demand for residents , but also provides them with psychological needs of community communication and entertainment, etc. It is a stage to concentratedly show community culture. It has unique community recognition and local culture. Basing on the research of the local construction, economy, culture and people, in this case we extract local residents’ main characteristic and combine with surrounding urban skin texture of the base, terrain elevation difference and mutual crisscross to fit in the local construction style. In our community center, in guarantee its providence of community communication and entertainment, at the same time we consider more about the construction’s combination with nature to close the distance between man and nature, and make people fully enjoy the comfortable experience brought by nature.
Design descri ption:
THE SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY MUSEUM
Analysis of base: 1. The base is located in the cross, and the surrounding construction are designed as center radial along the crossing.2. In the north of the base is a park which is the main landscape around.3. In the south of the base is an ancient village of the Ming and Qing Dynasty which needs take protection measure in the design. 4. In the west direction of the base is catering and shopping district with a large flow of people.

Form A Structure
Better penetrative net can afford more chance of the access.Penetrability in vision means the ability to look through the path,while in solid,it means the ability to go through the surroundings.
This section is defined by the flow of people and the circled area is the point where the flow of people gather.

This scheme uses the new architecture space feeling and appearance to meet the demand of function and form. At the same time, we use the reasonable function layout as well as free and open spatial streamline. It helps mutual communication between people and people, also between people and environment, and it promotes people’ s understanding and experience towards high technology. This science museum which represents the high technology make people feel the excitement brought by science. I ts formation is full of shock and movement and its volume is constantly changing and extending far away.
Design descri ption:
THE BASF RESEARCH CENTER
The Basf Research Center is a multi-functional and comprehensive building of office, test and display. Office space can satisfy Research’s daily office, exhibition&vist and academic exchanges. Experimental area is the test ground of technology development. It meets the needs of safety, standard, practical and efficient of the laboratory. Auxiliary area is a place for Research Center ‘s material storage, recycle, cleaning and disinfection. It is also a place for maintaining the normal operation of a variety of building facilities. In the function, Research Center can meet the needs of scientific research, and in the form it makes use of the block change of the arc to cut down its heavy dimension sense, which can make the external modeling more varied and lively as well as let people feel it is construction together with the whole industrial zone. During the design process, we fully consider climate conditions and use roof greening, atrium ventilation system, rainwater collection system and other ecological technologies to create a pleasant indoor environment, which can make people combine with the environment.
Designing the rectangle volume according to the surrounding environment.
Using arc design in both sides to make the building look more rounded.
In the west facade, adopting circular arc form to make people get a better view.
By pushing and pulling ,the first floor enriches the construction space
Generating blocks upward.
Hollowing out the middle to form a atrium, and sunshine can enter the building through the atrium.
Design description:
The atrium are made of glass, which can not only let the sunshine in to meet the need of indoor lighting but also cut off the rain.
Planting greening on the roof can beautify environment and purify air, thereby reducing energy consumption and increase the building’s greening area.
Store the rain through the rainwater collection device on the roof and irrigate the greening through pipe to reduce the waste of water resources.
The atrium has chimney effect, which can make hot air through the atrium to reduce indoor energy consumption.

Above the atrium are made of tempered glass which can bring people a more comfortable environment by having a good ambient daylight and naturally forming upward wind, which is floated outside the building through the top of the atrium, to the atrium from all round the building, finally causing an air flow system.
The design of the curve style makes the atrium more guidance, bringing users a rich space-experience of the atrium as well as a wide indoor space.

Evaluation used in glass curtain wall and arc facade produces a sense of permeability and brightness. The adaptation not only strengthens the line of sight communication of both indoor and outdoor, but also meets the need of interior daylight.
Using a layer of push-and-pull building volume to shape abundant changes. The design embodies the main entrance, enriching the space hierarchy and facade images, emphasizing the main entrance of the Research & Development Building.
The roof garden is beautified its environment to achieve the interaction between people and scenery, so that users are able to feel pleasure and comfort. The corridor becomes a place where users can chat with each other as well.
The style of the building evaluation with the collocation of gray lines and colorful lines not only has features of office as well as science department halls, but also forms a rhythmical image, seeming the evaluation and the manufacturing district are mixed together.
