In my opinion product design requires the emphathize in various situations to develop a product that makes sense and is clear but also gives pleasure.

Therefor I see problems and questions a chance and challenge to create something new. It´s not important to know everything but you should never lose the interest to learn new things over and over again. The adaptable and independent operation as well as taking regard of the client´s wishes and teamwork is immensely important for a designer.

I consider my job as an innovative and creative approache for problem formulations of the everyday life.

The draught of a kitchen scale was the subject of the second semester. The conversion took place after three different manufacturing methods.

The task in the first semester was the elaboration of a nutcracker draught on the base of a godfather‘s product.

WORKS

PROJECTS

The results from the cooperation with the company Toppits/Cofresco can not be shown for contract-tech-nical reasons yet.

The young project in cooperation with the design agency „designaffairs“ is still in the draught phase.

The result of the project trans-functional design is the sleeping headband „napper“ to wake you by light.

In cooperation with the study path mechanical engineering a shredder will be designed to shred styrofoam plates and to clean from pollutions. This work is still in the draught phase.

NUTCRACKER

The task was the elaboration of a design draught on base of a source product. Taking the functional principle into account, the basic philosophy should also be maintained and be high-lighted by corresponding materials.

The nutcracker fascinates by clear lines, integrative design and a form message that stands for reliability. High-quality materials (aluminium / beechwood) and a thought-out mechanism underlines the statement.

All elements fit together to an aesthetic general view by fluent crossings.

KITCHEN SCALE

The task was the conversion of a kitchen scale draught by three different manufacturing methods.

• ABS injection molding• extruded profile• material by choice

The focus on the point of the stability during the service, brings the draught the triangular form.

Building up on the triangular form follows a respectable, additive basic body which lays above the cradle plate. The alleged unfixed cradle plate brings a floating character to the construction.

High-quality materials, homogeneous surfaces, a clear touchpad service and high weight admission provide a hygie-nic and adaptable use.

TRANS-D

ESIGN

Rush, stress and little sleep form the everyday life. Time for relaxation and rest are often missed out. To use short breaks very effective I have developed the „nap-per“. This sleeping headband is a loyal companion on every journey or the daily work. It is always used if you need a small break but keeps you from oversleeping by a gentle wake-up function by help of pulsating light.

OLED foils guarantee a pleasant light and serve at the same time as an announcement for the binary watch system. The simple and individual wake up time setting takes place in the pressure sensor set in the neoprene.

Even without sleeping, stickable earphones help by the rela-xation,

Cellular neoprene guarantees a comfortable and long wea-ring comfort.

DESIGNDAYS

2011

During the yearly design days our campus changes for one week to one single big exhibition. Every student is responsible for the concept, the con-struction and the management of the single exhibitions.

In a team of four students we designed the plan of a large table with walnuts. The artificial restaurant atmosphere underlines the production of our nut-crackers.
