Rowing CLUb in LAkE EyMiR ARCh201

Sizes of rowing boats, how they stored and circulation of rowers became guides for dimensions of strips. For ease of use storage unit separated into three. A deck covering whole site creates openings for trees on the site and creates storage units, gym, cafe by folding and lifting with a help of strips.

Integration of musicans in the studios and listeners in bars and shops, increasing the chance of encounters between them was the aim of the project. Program is divided into 3 blocks and programs seperated to them. Shell controlls the rela-tionship with outside and provides a volume between blocks which can be used for activities stated in program. Pedestrian circulation continues into the shell with a help of catwalk. Catwalk also regulates circulation inside.

Programs blocks and Pervious shell comes together.

Both elements are created in different ways. Blocks created by pre-determined structural grid. Shell created by environmental effects.

Stuctural Grid

Masses

Each mass includes different relationship between workshops and bars.

All studios are placed in bottom level which open to sunken garden. This garden is also the main concert stage. Studios can be isolated if wanted.

Shell

Circulation paterns visual relationships, nearby buildings’ heights, shadow conditions and existing vegetation are forces that create shell’s geometry.

Catwalk

Old settlements was the inspiration in terms of social life and geometry. A patern derived from plans of calcholithic settlements, its analysis and realtions of houses in those ages was the starting point. houses arround courtyards converted into a squares and streets in contemporary context. General geometry formed after un-derstanding the patern and creating another patern. Seperating Archaeo-Center Program into different blocks and mixing it with housing makes life in the housing blocks and Archaeo-center integrated. Shells inspired from shelters on archaeo-logical excavation differentiating the archaeo-center masses.
