OCEANIC COLONY (COMPETITION)

HumanHuman activities are compro-mising life on Earth. City’s ex-pansion, industrial production and deforestation are modify-ing earth’s balance, exasperat-ing the global warming issue, causing Poles’ice dissolution.Space's photographies marks a reduction of North pole ex-tension of 16% between 1987 and 2007.

As consequnce of all oceans levels grows, day by day, ac-cording to dissolution. In the next future water could cover many coastal city.

The Chara Colony it is de-signed to allow human life in this possible scenario. The tower design aim to maximize passive energy production ex-ploiting: tides, wind guts and Archimede’s push. It is a no emisison building for open

Energy supply chain

The tides movement joined to Archimedes' push, activate the electric generators (a sort of pistons). The energy in part is stored in part it is used to feed some vapour turbines. A piezoe-lectric fabric sail, wraps the whole tower to catch wind on 360°.

The Project aim to provide a proposal to qualify the old Docks of Turin.The building it is protected by superin-tendences.The superintendences has divided the building in 150 blocks, each one it is be assigned to an architect. The transfor-mation bounds are:- each unit has to have an own entrance- allowed function are house, office or both.Blocks are very long, narrow and light-less; for these in my proposal, the roof it is been opened.Opening allow light and air to come in, generating a direct linking between inner and outer space.The project forecast that house it is di-vided in at at the 1st oor, office at the ground oor and laboratory in the un-dergrouund. At office level, it is placed a white rock garden . The rocks reect light increas-ing the average of office light level.

ZETRON BOOTH FOR CCW 2013

TThis project smartly use all the available triangular shapes of booth area. The top part it is used for people receipts, the middle and larged for event and presenta-tion while the bottomo part it is used for bar and a private meeting area.Zetron it is a company that develop soft-ware and tools for emergencies handling.To achieve their goal, the zetron tools ge-olocalize the emergency point.Voronoi’s lacunar ceiling is to Zetron as Zetron’s work is to point’s localization. Indeed a Voronoi grid it is dened by posi-tion of some points in space. Different points dene different grids.Beneath the Voronoi a dome for video event, recalls people for the Zetron event.
