• Michigan Antique Festival Interior DesignCompetition Winner in 2013 (1 of 5 awards)and 2014 (3 of 5 awards). The first year I wasa team member and in 2014, I was teamcaptain.

• Lobbying at the State Capitol with theCoalition for Interior Design Registration(CIDR) in efforts to have the profession ofInterior Design recognized in the state ofMichigan. (2012)

AWARDS/ACHIEVEMENTS:

In the summer of 2014, I acquired my LEED Green Associate

accreditation and in February of 2015 I received my LEED

Accredited Professional in Interior Design and Construction

accreditation.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:

Research Assistant –Michigan State University School of Planning,

Design and Construction (April 2014 to present) – East Lansing, MI.

I worked as Chief Research Assistant on the American Society of

Interior Designers Transform Grant granted to Michigan State

University and Cornell University in effort to “develop a

comprehensive knowledge workplace design benchmark and

evaluation tool for individual organizations, businesses, and

interior design practitioners. This project will create an analytic

tool that contributes to evidence‐based design practice and

successful local economic growth through the development and

design of innovative, high performing knowledge workplaces.”

In our research, we are working to reveal if there is a connection

between strategic, innovative workplace design and employee

productivity, success and well-being in large companies (Fortune

500). We work closely with principals and representatives of top

companies(HOK, Perkins+Will, Jones Lang LaSalle, Herman Miller,

Kimberly-Clark, Cannon Design, SmithGroup JJR, Discover Card,

Whirlpool and more), college professors and

researchers(International Workplace Studies Program at Cornell,

University of Minnesota Interior Design Program, Colorado State

University, Zurich University of Applied Science and more)

workplace strategists (HOK and Perkins+Will) and other individuals

to study their workplace efficiency and design layouts as well as

gain their knowledge in the area of research.

Skills include:

• Organizing and scheduling activities, events and meetings

with professionals.

• Virtual communication and meetings (Skype, Zoom)

• Research of scholarly articles published in renowned

publications in design, architecture, science, engineering and

workplace management and planning.

• Researching and analyzing data in innovation, productivity
