Design Philosophy
Simplicity. A beautiful piece of work should be simple yet powerful, that feeling when others see it they must be weak at the knees with envy. “I wish I thought of that.”
LOGO DESIGN
This was a revamp of the Redhill logo. I changed the co;our to a deeper red and I changed the font so it will be more legible when read.
The Paper Connection logo is a simple folding over paper with the name in requested colour. Thin and professional font to represent a corporate company.
SMP is a affiliated company with Hygiene Systems that needed an updated logo but still wanted a look and feel to a motorcross brand.
En Pointe is a new ballet class that is starting at Crossfit and needed a logo but with the same grunge look and feel as Crossfit.

I designed several print based ads for Redhill school these 2 were advertised in Child Mag. These 2 posters were to promote Redhill as a future focussed school.

PRINT BASE DESIGN
Trade Presenter for Mango Goji edition was a combination between myself and a senior designer, he focused on the layout to the exisiting look and feel and I focused on the info and creating new visual graphs and between us making the trade presenter perfect for the client.
PRINT BASE DESIGN
This is an A5 (front and back) carnival flyer for PE, based on a digital look and feel. I had to recreate the template for a print version. This is in connection with the Can Do Campaign. I had to redesign the map on the back with the route of the Carnival Bus. Using the existing look and feel, I art directed the flyer.

Brochure layout design, I had to update the brochure layout and had freedom to come up with a new layout template for all brochure. This eventually became a total branding update of Hygiene Systems to the look and feel of the new brochures.

Do not spray near naked flame or any incandescent material. Keep away from source of ignition. No smoking. Use in a well ventilated area. Do not breathe vapour. Keep out of reach of children. Only use Airmist aerosol cans in Airmist dispensers as didirected.

Updated design of Airmist Aerosol labels for Hygiene Systems New Zealand.
Customer 700ml chemical label designs. 1 of 6 different simple label disigns as requested, for use of cleaning in hospitals.
Aerosol and Furniture Polish labels for a much larger can than standard size of 250ml. Used the same look and feel as Standard size labels.

BRANDINGDESIGN
Event Branding, Redhill School hosted their first Arts Festival and I had to do all the artwork for the event, social media, posters, invites, signage, street lamp ads, etc.

Betasan labels for new retail range coming out. Had to create a simple but effective label design for the rectangle shape bottles. Played around a lot with inversing the colour, having transparent background, eventually this was chosen as the final design because of the stricking colours and how the label stands out.

Betasan label update on the 40ml retail bottle and the artwork for the display box. This was to keep with the same look and feel at the New 300ml retail bottles. This was still being approved before I left.

The Paper Connection is a new Company affliated with Hygiene Systems that needed all their branding done for them. The logo is a simple folding over paper with the name in requested colour. The folding over design has been implemented throughout the branding elements.

Update of existing branding based on new logo. SMP are the main supplier of maintaince products therefore the idea behind the designing was to include a aerosol can into the design as per request.

Fine Forest Organics needed an update on all their branding but keeping with the same look and feel of the yellow and black chevron strip and yellow and black colour scheme. Logo did not change as requested, therefore to use the stricking colour of the yellow background with black Helvetica type to stand out.
TYPOGRAPHYDESIGN
This typographic shield was designed for promoter wear and is based on a word cloud design. This shield contains all words relating to Relaxing with Redd’s. An emphasis is put on the tag line ‘Relax with Redd’s’, by using the gold look and feel colour. From start to finish, this project encompassed 100% of my own input.

This is a Typographic glass door branding for Afrisam that is made up of copy of Afrisams quailities and brand identities. It was a combination of myself and another designer putiing this together to clients approval.

This is a digital post for Facebook and Twitter, depicting the vibrance of dance through typography. I used a Word Cloud to highlight many types of dance styles. I like this artwork because there is an emphasis on the Word Cloud, yet in the background you can see the energy of the dancer.
DIGITAL DESIGN
Digital Post for Facebook using the CI for Virgin depicting the celebrations for the New year. Sometimes the whole story can be told by a striking image.
This is one of many Redd’s Digital Posts for Facebook and Twitter. Depicting a beautiful sunset in Botswana. It’s a perfect moment to Relax with Redd’s.

Renault Sandero GIFS for website ads. This was my first attempt and came out great.
DIGITALDESIGN
Mailshot for a competition that Hygiene Systems wanted to run for all their customers. This competition is a Superbru predictor challenge on the new Super Rugby season.
ADHOCDESIGN
Packaging design of a Man’s Travel Bag. The idea is based on stereotypical men that love beer. A 6 pack Man’s Travel Bag.
Designing posters for an event taking place in London, it’s a design conference on Anthropomorphic Advertising. This artwork was based on my dissertation.
A Poster design based on senses. This was based on hearing. The Sound of Rugby specifically in the stands.
Illustration piece based on Brothers Grimm story Repunzel but with a twist and a Suicidle ending.
ADHOCDESIGN
Diversity is a word that we long for in a workplace, school, university and even at home. This is a Diversity and Equality typographic poster that I did in university to build awareness in our university. As the supporting copy on my poster says, Diversity, ‘makes life colourful.’
ADHOCDESIGN
This is a Children’s Footwear brand that I designed from scratch, from the type used for the name to the illustrations, the pop up brochure as well as shoe box that is meant to look like a ducks foot.

Chris is a definite asset to a creative department as he not only has a natural eye for aesthetics and ‘on trend’ designs but more importantly is mindful of the target audience that will be receiving the communication, this makes sure that his designs are in tune with both consumer and brand for maximum effect. He is also a great team player, and has no fear of rolling up his sleeves to get the job done, especially when faced with pressurising deadlines.
