TRANSCRIPT
I was born in Al-Ain in 1991, in 2008 I moved to my hometown Syria to start my archi-tecture journey in Damascus. To me this was a leverage point in my life where I took the opportunity to understand the cultural factors that Syria has throughout histo-ry, since Syria has one of the greatest examples of the emergence of cities whereas the first alphabet in the history was found in the town of Ugarit on Syria’s northern coast. In 2011 I moved to Jordan to complete my studies where I got the most fruitful station in my career life.
Through this humble background of life experience and my very big potentials and ambitions I am ready to give the best of me through the most thing that I see myself in ; “Architecture” where I try to express myself in every project I do to serve the human needs from the best that my perspective sees .

1 . Wellness TourisTic VillageEvery nation is built up of economies; they are basically the brain of all countries. If you get the economy to the right direction, then you’re taking your country to the right direction. It’s a direct relationship. The Arab Region has one of the hardest envi-ronments in the world, for it is built up mostly of sands. As a result, many economical boosting methods did not work. Tourism is the engine fuel that boosts the country through outside interference. People come and go from and to other countries for many reasons, causing directly and unintentionally to boost the economy of the visited country. As a result Jordan was one of the first countries to use tourism as long as practicing medicine in order to maximize the economy efficiency. It has been
2
scored the first Arabian Country and number 5 in the whole world. (News, -September/ October 2008). This was viewed by many factors to being a huge opportunity for Jordan to use its best Assets (Medicine) as means to enhance the economy. This was the reason for me to choose Medical tourism as my graduation project. I found it unique, intellectual, brand new and challenging to enter a field of projects that is first being implemented in the country and whole region for that matter. A Field study and many sources have been obtained to seek more information about this topic; and finally, I believe that medical tourism is in fact the fuel that will enhance the performance of Jordan’s economy.

CONCEPT AND FORM FINDING
Biomimicry Tectonics
Tectonics in architecture is defined as “the sience or art of construction, both in relation to use and
artistic design.” It refers not just to the “activity of making the materially requisite construction that
answers constrains needs, but rather to the activity that rises this construction to an art form.

DEFIGNING THE SCOPE
Macro Scale
Micro Scale
Salt lies 20 km to the east of the Jordan Valley at an attitude of 800m. It has traditionally been a trading and
market center serving Gilead on the East Bank, with links to Nablus, Jerusalem and Mediterranean to the west and
Damascus to the north. It is now the administrative center for the Balqa Region, only 30 km north-west Amman
with which it has a close inter-relationship.
Old Salt developed arround the spring in the Akrad Valley, on three hills; Al-Qal’a, Al-Jada’a and As-Salalem sa-
parated by the flood plains of Wadi-Akrad and Wadi Es-Salt.
Al-Hammam Street is a traditional route that located at the middle of As-Salt city. It extends almost 285m inside the old city. It was built
at the end of the 19th century, and it called Al-Hammam Street relatively to a Turkish Hammam at the 1930’s. Noteworthy that the Mu-
nicipality of As-Salt started to floor the souk on 1923.
What differentiate the street that the sops are at the ground floor and the rest floors are residential; and it reflects the architectural style of
the region between 1881-1918. The structural system was contracts and archways, thick walls, which sometimes up to meter, and windows
with pointed arches and convex. The buildings has built of yellow stone. Usually the second floor in the street all the buildings with a
large number of openings facing the street.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
The unique historic center of As-Salt is falling to Pieces:
Physically; it’s unique heritage of buildings is being allowed to decay and mutilated by bad modern development.
Environmentally; the commercial and social life of the city is draining out of the core, leaving vacant sites, empty
buildings, and houses in poor repair.
Infringement on the street

22 In Al-Midan plaza we made an access to an artistic activity
space. A public studio was the key of the idea that leads the
user to Gallery made of a curtain wall up in the roof.
25CANOPY ANALYSIS
To make the street more efficient we decided to design a special canopy that provide a good ventila-
tion and lighting with considering the view influence. This canopy composite of a split units extends all
over the street in view of a sustainable method.

CONCEPT
- The philosophy behind Muslim’s Life & belief is considered as a
“CONFLICT” between Desires and Soul to Achieve Balance and In-
ner Peace.
- This Geometric Form Represent the Human parts (body & soul) as
the arrows affect the Geometry to make this deformation a sculptural
symbol to the Muslims culture.
- The deformation Progress has been generated to make green solu-
tions double.

GREEN SOLUTIONS : VENTILATION
In this spaces the inlet is smaller than the outlet which
makes the ventilation more efficient
The smooth curve in the western elevation allows
the cold wind to escape without making Friction
with the wall which preserves the inner tempera-
ture in away.
32
GREEN SOLUTIONS : DAY LIGHT
EAST DAY LIGHT
From the southern elevation I made those openings which allow the indirect wind to penetrate through the space from both sides east and west
33
GREEN SOLUTIONS : WATER EFFICIENCY
Using wetland method and collecting rain water by collectors down the slopes
34
GREEN SOLUTIONS : ENERGY EFFICIENCY
Using Hybrid Water Heaters to produce hot
water in winter for the Abulation
These cylindrical photovoltaic cells works as shutters in summer and they spread
out automatically in winter to penetrate the space inside
35
The Minaret is also used as a green eltement as cylindrical photovoltaic cells
GREEN SOLUTIONS ENERGY EFFICIENCY
This is one of the executed projects I did through my internship in Jordan as designer and 3D visu-
alization, the site is located in the Jordanian valley that belong to an environmental institution called
“Sherhabil Bin Hassneh”.
