November 2015

As November is upon us, we reflect on the upcoming Holidays and all the ac-tivities that are associated with them. Let us not forget to remember and honor our Veterans on Veterans Day, November 11th as well as each day of the year for the freedoms that they have fought for us. This has been a busy Autumn season and I have en-joyed working on all the activities in the month of October and looking for-ward to the Christmas gift wrapping starting in November. I hope all of you plan to participate in this fun, fund raising activity and are making plans to attend our Christmas Party on De-cember 10th at the beautifully deco-rated Cedar Lakes. Take time to get out and enjoy this wonderful season.

FYI: Portal Buzz

FYI

What IS Portalbuzz? Portalbuzz is Pilot International’s new membership database

and it’s available to you NOW! Pilot International has adopted software to simplify

their work by making it possible for clubs and their members to access information

online. According to the Portalbuzz Corporate website, using Portalbuzz, individual

members can

Keep engaged, informed and active even when not meeting.

Have a personalized dashboard.

Update and access own profile information.

View own member invoice.

Communicate with other members through the portal.

How to Start Using Portalbuzz

First, go to this address: https://members.portalbuzz.com/Member/User/Login

As a first time user, you will need to Register your e-mail and password. Scroll down the page and find the blue Register/Reset Password link and click on it. (Don’t

use the submit button yet.)

Now you will be on a page titled Password Reset. Enter your e-mail address and click the Submit button. You will receive an e-mail that includes a link to set up a

password.

Just click on that link (or copy and paste it into your address bar) and follow the

instructions. Easy peasy!

Once you have logged in and accessed your information, please update it! When I entered your name, I did not have your actual join date, so I used random dates. If you can’t remember, make your best guess. SPECIAL NOTE: You must enter year

first, then month, and then the day.

You may wish to enter all or only some of the information. There are places to en-ter your social media addresses as well as biographical information. You do NOT

need to enter anything but the basics and the date you joined Pilot Club.

We, as a club, have been working with the “portal” for a couple of months and are still having issues with erroneous invoices. If you have already paid your interna-tional dues, don’t worry if you see an invoice on your dashboard! It is an error and

will be fixed.

Have you noticed that you have not been receiving your Pilot Log magazine lately?

Make sure your information is up to date in Portalbuzz so you can receive your

copy of the Pilot Log today! Dorma
