Portable long service forcommunity services workers

Under the Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme, eligible workers in the community services sector build up long service benefits based on time in the

industry, rather than with a single employer.

After 7 years of service,

you can apply for your

long service benefit that is

paid out of the fund.

Each quarter your

employer records your

service and wages with us,

and pays a levy that is

managed in a central fund.

Your employer signs you

up for the scheme and you

receive a welcome pack in

the mail.
