Construction of the $90m Marine Export Terminal is progressing on schedule. The two 170-foot-tall storage domes are on site in the Bayou Casotte Harbor. Each dome can accommodate 45,000 metric tons of wood pellets for a total capacity of 90,000 metric tons. The Bruks Siwertell ship loader recently arrived in Pascagoula and was positioned on the dock May 24, 2021. A conveyer will transfer pellets from the domes to the ship loader for discharge into vessels bound to markets in Europe and Asia. Wood pellets produced at the Enviva Manufacturing Plant in George County, Mississippi, and other Enviva plants in its strategic asset cluster in the Gulf region, will be exported through the Pascagoula Terminal. The terminal will be capable of receiving product by rail, barge, and truck and will directly employ approximately 30 full-time workers. It is on schedule to be operational by the end of 2021.
