These are not the descriptions of child-
hood that anyone would want. Yet for the
children on the fringes of San Salvador,
El Salvador this is the reality. In coopera-
tion with Compassion International, “Por
Gracia” was launched in 2010 as a pro-
gram designed to create academic and
social opportunities for young people
living in extreme poverty, broken homes,
and exposed daily to social violence.
Operating on the campus of Siloe Baptist
Church & School, on the edge of
Soyapango, the program offers a formal
education as well as vocational work-
shops to children who couldn’t otherwise
afford the opportunity. As a sponsor of a
child you will be helping bring renewal to
this community through the physical,
spiritual, and social development of the
300+ children that we serve. For $37 per
month, you will provide a child with much
more than a traditional education. In
addition to their normal classes (Math,
Science, etc) your sponsored child will
receive Bible & English classes, a hot
meal at school each day, and regular
health checkups. As a sponsor, you will
receive regular updates on your student
and will have a chance to get to know
them through regular correspondence.

Your sponsorship provides for 100% of the
students monthly tuition at Siloe, a private
school with an “A” rating by the El Salvador
Ministry of Education.

Your support also ensures that your student
receives a hot meal at school each day.

Your student will receive health checkups bi-
annually and a dental checkup annually.

shown the eternal hope in Jesus Christ.
