DAYTON, Ohio, Nov. 9, 1989--When George Zimmerman takes the stage, he

invites every member of the audience to join ~n the performance. That's

what makes his sing-alongs at the University of Dayton so popular.

Due to demand, Zimmerman ' s ninth annual Old-Fashioned Christmas Carol

Sing at UD will be present ed on two nights this year. Zimmerman, music

lecturer at UD, has decided to expand the Christmas program due to an

overflow crowd at last year's event.

The Old-Fashioned Christmas Carol Sing will be presented on Tuesday

and Wednesday, Dec. 5 and 6, at 8 p.m. in the Kennedy Union Boll Theatre on

campus. Admission ~s free, but tickets will be required. To request

tickets for either of the performances, call UD's public relations office

at (513) 229-3241. Tickets requested by Monday, Nov. 27 will be mailed to

recipients. Tickets requested after Nov. 27 will be available at the door.

The theater doors will be opened at 7:30 p.m. All ticket holders must

be seated by 7:50 p.m. on the night of each performance. At that time, the

doors will be opened to the general public without tickets.

Zimmerman will be up to his old tricks this year--playing and singing

Christmas carols that audience members have loved for years. He will be

joined by special guests UD senior Jin Young Lee on piano and the Classical

magic at the sing-along.
