The goal is to generate and amplify conversations and share stories that personify Faith, hope, compassion, and social justice, thereby demonstrating that #GoodIsWinning because of the actions of individuals. Promote submissions to be chosen as members of the @PopeIsHope Digital Street Team to cover the Pope’s visit. *Open to students and young alumni & other Millennials in your community 2. Share additional updates including, the Pope’s Emojis keyboard, daily infographics, news of initiative & Pope’s US trip etc. 2. Initiate a real-time University Social Media/ digital pop-up center to engage students, staff, alumni, & friends of the university in conversation prior to and during the Pope’s Visit @PopeIsHope #GoodIsWinning See FAQ 3. Retweet, “Like” or Repost @PopeIsHope official content. 3. Prior to the visit, generate content that displays events or people demonstrating how “Good Is Winning” on your campus and with your broader constituency. 3. Share Digital Street Team Contest information with students and alums 3 people win paid trip to cover the Pope as an official member of the “Digital Street Team” 4. Mention the hashtag #GoodIsWinning and/or tag @PopeIsHope in social media posts as appropriate 4. Use and share @PopeIsHope music media, infographics, and emojis in your communications 4. Identify and enlist Celebrity/Influencer Ambassadors to welcome the Pope to the US via social media 5. Incorporate details of the @PopeIsHope campaign in other official communications including email newsletters, magazines, social media & visual channels in campus public spaces 5. Ask Sports teams, athletes and & coaches to send social media messages welcoming the Pope to the U.S. (be creative) Submit to @PopeIsHope official acctounts See FAQ 5. Suggest “trusted sources” to provide relevant content for @PopeIsHope accounts to amplify prior to & during the visit 6. Challenge fans to represent your team /university by sharing videos/photo stories of inspiration, compassion, etc. tagging @Pontifex Include hashtag #GoodIsWinning See FAQ 6. Designate a research team to analyze the social media data generated around the visit and develop a White Paper providing insights to the Vatican on the impressions, interests, beliefs, etc of Millennials helping the Church better engage with this high value population. *We welcome some or all of the above contributions as well as any other suggested involvement with the @PopeIsHope Initiative. FAQ  @PopeIsHope    Digital  Street  Team

1) What  is  a  Digital  Street  Team?  a) A  dynamic  group  of  individuals  activated  on  social  media  to  drive  conversation  toward  faith,  

social  justice,  compassion  and  joy  around  Pope  Francis’  visit  to  the  U.S.  September  22-­‐27,  2015.    

2) Where  will  they  be  located?  a) Some  members  will  be  onsite  in  Washington,  DC  (September  22-­‐23),  New  York  City  (24-­‐25),  

Philadelphia  (September  26-­‐27).  Other  members  will  operate  off-­‐site,  from  across  the  U.S.  b) On-­‐site  members  must  be  responsible  for  their  own  transportation  and  accommodations.    

 3) What  are  we  looking  for  in  a  Digital  Street  Team  member?  

a) Demonstrated  advocates  for  Christian  faith  and  social-­‐justice  causes  b) Have  an  eye  for  a  good  story  and  know  how  to  share  it  meaningfully  for  a  wide  audience  c) Have  social  media  savvy,  with  strongly  established  presence  on  various  social  media  platforms  d) Photography,  videography,  editing,  and  writing  skills  are  highly  valued  e) Spanish  fluency  is  valued  but  not  necessary  f) Must  use  own  smartphone,  tablet  and/or  laptop  and  will  be  responsible  for  associated  

expenses.    

4) When  does  the  Digital  Street  Team  membership  application  process  begin?  a) The  application  process  has  started  and  will  end  July  25,  2015,  11:59  pm  EDT.  

 5) When  will  the  Digital  Street  Team  members  be  chosen?  

a) By  July  31.  Selected  members  will  be  notified  during  the  first  week  of  August.    

6)  Will  the  Digital  Street  Team  members  receive  any  training?  a) After  the  selection  process  is  completed  at  least  2  webinars  will  be  conducted  to  orient  team  to  

the  mission  and  to  establish  protocols.    

7) What  kind  of  content  will  Digital  Street  Team  members  create?  a) Members  will  be  expected  to  regularly  generate  original  content  using  all  forms  of  digital  media  

including  photo,  video,  meme,  blog,  etc.  b) Within  themes  established  by  the  @PopeIsHope  project,  members  will  be  encouraged  to  be  

highly  creative  and  to  utilize  their  storytelling  skills.

c) @PopeIsHope  project  will  receive  exclusive  images  and  video  from  an  Aleteia  journalist  accompanying  the  Pope  during  his  journey.  Team  members  will  have  opportunities  to  add  this  content  to  their  postings.    

8) Where  will  the  Digital  Street  Team  content  be  posted?  a) @PopeIsHope  is  activated  on  Twitter,  Instagram,  Facebook,  Snapchat,  Vine,  Periscope,  Pinterest  

and  Tumblr.    Content  will  also  be  posted  on  GoodIsWinning.aleteia.org.      

9) What  are  the  Digital  Street  Team  application  guidelines?  a) Follow  the    @PopeIsHope  social  media  accounts  b) Submissions  may  be  in  a  variety  of  forms  including  photo,  video,  meme,  blog,  etc.  and  must  

demonstrate  the  theme  and  include  the  hashtag  #GoodIsWinning.  c) Send  submissions  to  @PopeIsHope  via  any  of  the  following  platforms:  Twitter,  Instagram,  

Facebook,  Vine,  Pinterest,  and  Tumblr.  (Not  Snapchat  or  Periscope).    d) Multiple  submissions  are  accepted  but  not  required.  e) Application  process  is  effective  immediately  and  acceptance  deadline  is  July  25.  2015,  11:59pm  

EDT.  f) Must  be  18  years  of  age  or  older
