The P.O.P.! Snack Packs initiative was fostered to help women maintain nutrition that is often lost while undergoing chemotherapy. Snack Packs!, which consist of items like nuts, dried fruits and other healthy, energy-boosting snacks, are delivered to local Oncologist Offices in Maryland. P.O.P.! also provides Holiday baskets to families of patients and survivors in need.
This initiative is all about pampering women to make them feel good about themselves while experiencing the post effects of chemotherapy and/or radiation. Dealing with issues like hair loss, weight loss and skin discoloration can really take its toll on a survivor’s emotional health – Pink Glam is designed to empower and uplift those coping with these challenging side effects. Pink Glam! Events also provide immediate resources for those seeking assistance with mammography and pre and post cancer treatment.
For women in the U.S., breast cancer death rates are higher than any other cancer, besides lung cancer.
