PRETEND LISTENING• When you act like your listening and go along saying yeah, uh
huh, cool, sounds great.
SELECTIVE LISTENING• When your paying attention to the thing you want to hear and ignore else
that the other person is saying.
WORD LISTENING• When your listening to someone’s words but your not seeing their body
language.
SELF- CENTERED LISTENING• Judging- When your judging others in your mind that you don’t hear them
anymore.• Advising- When people and family give advice based on there own
experiences.• Probing- When people want to get you to talk about your emotions but
your not ready.
