Case 1 – Flipped Classroom with Utah Dual Language Immersion

• By using Ponddy platform, teachers can instantly transform authentic material into a

ready-to-teach lesson plan (the pondlet) and share it with students

• Students can preview the shared lesson plan before class with K-W-L chart filled out to better

prepare for class knowing exactly what part of content they need help from the teacher

Case 2 – STARTALK First Online Summer Program

• The first online summer program by STARTALK that covers the FOUR skills

• Ponddy created the program from scratch and provided online instructions

• Ponddy content team created the theme-based curriculum and instruction sets that align with

ACTFL can-do statements

• Students use Ponddy learning platform to create content and trace their learning outcomes.

• All Ponddy Tutors instructors are certified in teaching Chinese as a foreign language

• The pilot is tested and trusted by students and parents from 34 states nationwide

Case 3 – Content Creation with The Language Flagship

• Ponddy has created curriculum in collaboration with the Language Flagship Technology

Innovation Center for its Chinese Flagship Program

• The Language Flagship Pondlet Series helps elite students in their pre-capstone year in learning

field-specific content in Chinese, such as in biology, chemistry, economics, international relations,

etc.

• After learning the content provided, students use Ponddy learning platform to create their own

content and share with peers so students can also learn from each other
