There's nothing more comfy and cozy than a pair of hand-knitted slippers.

Size: One size to fit woman’s shoe size 7–9.

Beginner / Débutant / Novicecia

Supplies: ● 1 Ball–Loops & Threads® Impeccable® Aqua

(or color of your choice or comparable yarn) ● 1–Size US 8 (5 mm) knitting needles ● 1–Yarn needle

Gauge:18 stitches (sts) and 24 rows = 4" [10 cm] in stockinette stitch. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.

Abbreviations:beg = beginningK = knitK2 = knit 2K2tog = knit 2 togetherP2 = purl 2psso = passed slip stitch overRS = right sideSl1 = slip 1 stitchsts = stitchesWS = wrong side

INSTRUCTIONSBeginning (beg) at heel, cast on 10 stitches (sts). Work in garter stitch (knit every row) until work from beg measures 2 1⁄2” [6 cm], noting 1st row is wrong side (WS) and ending on a WS row.

INCREASE FOR SIDES1st Row: (Right side-RS). Cast on 11 sts. Knit to end of row. 21 sts total.  2nd Row: Cast on 11 sts. Knit to end of row. 32 sts total.  Work in garter stitch (knit every row) until work from last cast on row measures 4 1⁄2” [11.5 cm], ending on a WS row.

INCREASE FOR INSTEP1st Row: (RS). Cast on 5 sts. *Knit 2 sts (K2). Purl 2 sts (P2). Repeat from * to last st. K1. 37 sts total.   2nd Row: Cast on 5 sts. *P2. K2. Repeat from * to last 2 sts. P2. 42 sts total. 3rd Row: *K2. P2. Repeat from * to last 2 sts. K2. 4th Row: P2. *K2. P2. Repeat from * end of row.Repeat last 2 rows of (K2. P2) ribbing until work from last cast on row measures 3 1⁄2” [9 cm], ending on a 2nd row.

SHAPE TOE1st Row: (RS). K1. *Slip 1 stitch (Sl1). K1. Pass slipped stitch over last knitted stitch (psso). Knit next 2 sts together (K2tog). Repeat from * to last st. K1. 22 sts remain.   2nd Row: Purl. 3rd Row: *K2tog. Repeat from * to end of row. 11 sts remain. 4th Row: Purl. Break yarn, leaving a long end. Draw end through remaining 11 sts. Pull tightly. Fasten securely.

FINISHINGSew side cast on edges (11 sts) to each side of heel. Sew instep seam (center front) to toe.

POMPOM (make 2)Wind yarn around 4 fingers 80 times. Tie tightly in the middle and leave a long end for attaching to Slipper. Cut loops at both ends and trim to form pompom. Sew pompom to top (or back) of each Slipper.

in this pattern. Note how each decrease slants in a different

direction.
