What motivates you to become an active participant?

When thinking about becoming an active participant I generally look at the past and how I believe changing things of the past can help to improve this nation. Such of which includes Obama care, a healthcare reform in which for the most part hurts the middle class more than it helps due to the expenses in which it gives you throughout the months. As well as some of the writs that have been passes within the recent years.

List things you have learned this semester that surprised

you about the Federal government processes.

Throughout this semester I was surprisingly intrigued about the amount in which I learned. Much of which was based on the Judiciary system of government. This chapter summarizes the power of judges, court systems, and the decision making one type of court has over the other. As well as American Government: Democracy in Action, in which this chapter talks about the peoples power within the government. Although I knew this was a big step for government, I never really knew if we as American people had a voice in what actually happens within our government, as well as lobbying of individuals in office.

Choose one single political issue you believe is the most

important to consider for future generations.

I believe the most important issue involving politics is to issue of immigration. For many individuals you may know that the immigration reform is soon to be changed. While many individuals may think the realization of this change is subsequently not right, it had both its pros and cons. Although it takes away from opportunities that many people might look at in order to better their future, it is subsequently helping you. By building the walls higher you are ultimately helping yours in being able to correctly identify as an American citizen and give you eligibility for benefits and healthcare plans some of which you would not see or be able to obtain as an illegal immigrant. This also helps many individuals of the future by limiting trafficking of criminals as well as drugs crossing the borders.

Answer, which do you believe is the most important of the 27

Amendments to our Constitution and why.I believe the most important amendment to our constitution was the 13th amendment. This is largely due to what this amendment beholds as it is the turning point when talking about racial equality. This amendment states that slavery in America may be abolished and for anyone in whom participates in slavery of any kind may face legal charges.

Write about a few lessons you have learned about our government processes this

semester that you will carry with you beyond this course

Believe it or not, I think every chapter we have reviewed within this semester will help me in ever day life from here on out. Each chapter has its own definition to our government weather it is civil rights and the rights people have as individuals, as we as amendments in which can used anywhere from a court case to a simple traffic stop. I don’t really believe there is a restriction on what you can learn, the more you can take with you into life the more prepared and successful you will be.
